Honeymoon Booked!

I'm so excited to report that we FINALLY booked our honeymoon! After hours of searching, we decided to go to Costa Rica. 1/2 of our time will be spent at a boutique hotel in the rain forest, and the 1/2 of the trip will be at an AI on the beach. I don't know what to look forward to more, the wedding or the honeymoon! This was an awesome check.

Exciting! That's definitely an awesome check. Which resorts in Costa Rica are you staying in? We're considering it for our HM and would probably jump between two resorts as well.

I went to Costa Rica in high school and LOVED it!! Anyone considering going should check out La Leona and La Luna. They are both right in the rainforest and just amazing. We stayed at La Leona where we stayed in tents overlooking the beach. Laying in a hammock watching the sun set over the Pacific with the sounds of the rainforest.. I can't imagine anything better! La Luna is a yoga retreat and you can either stay in tents or huts. We hiked there and I want to go back and stay there some time! They are much more remote locations though. We took a bus down to Golfito and took a ferry over to the Osa Peninsula. Then we took "cabs" through some rough terrain (the cabs were pickup trucks with benches in the back and a tarp overtop). Then we had to hike on the beach to get to the resort but sooo worth it!

A place a little closer to San Jose we went to was Mt. Irazu. We were above the clouds and it was cool to see the pretty colors.

If you can't tell I'm so incredibly jealous that you're going to Costa Rica! You'll love it!

We booked at Rio Celeste, which is more inland, and then we'll head to the beach to The Westin Resort & Spa after that.  We actually found a great deal on Rio Celeste on LivingSocial, but I think it might expire in a couple of days...
