STD Question

So~ I've got a few people on my guest list that are co-workers of FI and he only wants to invite them to the dance portion of our wedding. With that being said, do we need to send STD's to those who are invited to the dance-only portion or are STD's primarily for those who are invited to the whole shebang?

    I guess I technically don't know for sure on this, but I would say that you should only send STDs to the people who are for sure invited to dinner as well, not just the dance.  At least that's what I would do.

    I definitely would only send STDs to people who are invited to the entire wedding (ceremony and reception).

    You can do what ever you would like, but I would only send the STD to the people that are actually invited to the entire wedding.

    Being invited to the dance doens't require saving the entire day, but it's up to you..

    Don't invite people to only the dance.

    But if you're going to have a tiered reception, definitely don't send an STD to B list.  I probably wouldn't even send an invite.  If it's casual of a relationship to not go to the dinner and reception, just spread it word of mouth.

    You all make great points - and I appreciate your advice.

    I guess my main reason for asking is b/c I had a co-worker get married in January, and she gave myself and another co-worker an invite to the "dance" only and we never received STD's....which of course, we wouldn't of needed since it didn't require us to save our whole day.  I just didn't know what the proper etiquette was, and I probably won't send out "Dance Only" invites ....like you said Steph, I"ll probably just have FI spread the word around work.
