Dog friendly wedding venues??

I plan to have my 12 pound pug pomeranian in my wedding (and i want an outdoor wedding). Do i have to go around and ask each venue? i'm afraid i'm going to fall in love with a venue and then my dog can't be in it. Any one have websites or any advice??

  • I imagine Centennial Lakes Park would allow it in the ampitheater. We take our dog for walks around that park all the time and walk through the ampitheater :-)

  • i just got married at town and country club in saint paul (so beautiful) and my dog was my flowerdog.  everyone was great about it.
  • I'm guessing that most venues that allow outdoor weddings would be fine with your dog. That said, I have never seen this question asked before, and I don't know of any list of dog-friendly wedding venues, so you probably will have to call the venue to ask for certain.

Would your dog just be in the wedding, and not at the reception? I'm guessing the reception would be much harder..
  • The only outdoor venues I would be worried about would be some of the city parks that may have animal ordinances. Other than that, I can't imagine any outdoor venues having an issue with dogs.

We had our ceremony at Black Bear Crossing in St. Paul, and while our dogs were not in our ceremony, we took pictures with them at the space after the ceremony and there were no issues. :)
