Target Registry

Does anybody else have the problem of Target not updating your registry for things bought.  I was updating some items on there for things we no longer want/need and noticed it says nothing has been purchased.  We had a couples shower 2 weeks ago and we received things from there off our registry but it says it hasn't been bought?!?!

After our last shower, I had to go in & update things that weren't taken off.  I just figured the people didn't use the registry papers when they checked out.

Also, I've noticed that when I look at our registry on my phone or iPod, it says that some things are bought, go & check online & it's not.  Seems like it's all not syncing or something!

I have my shower this weekend this weekend, I see some things have been bought off it. Andrea could be right about people not checking out with the registry papers or whatever. Is there anyone this happened with you would feel comfortable asking if they used the registry when they checked out?

The person purchasing does have to hand your papers to the cashier to "check it off" so if they didn't do that, it won't update.  It can take awhile if you update your own registry online, to show up on the Target kiosk.  If you received something and need it permanently deleted off, you can delete through your own account, or call Target's contact center and they can delete it out of their system.

I have had trouble with duplicates and not checking off stuff from pretty much every place we were registered. You should be able to go in and manually change things if yours is showing nothing purchased but I doubt there is a way to have them fix it for you. I was just updating mine this morning so I can do our completion shopping a little more easily.

As a (former) Target employee- there can be multiple reasons for this error. The most probable is that either the customer didn't have the paper scanned when they purchased the item, or the cashier didn't scan it correctly or simply forgot to scan it. It is an easy fix by just going in and checking it off at the registry kiosk near the guest service counter. You can also permanently delete things from there.
