Favorite engagement picture locations?

Our engagement session is in October. I'm still at a loss as to where to do them. I love the stone arch bridge/mill city area (very original, huh?) Do you have any places that you suggest? Pictures would be great as well. We don't really have a theme that we're doing or anything so I am open to suggestions.

We did ours in late February when there was still snow on the ground, but it wasn't frigid so I'm not so great with fall suggestions.  Any local park would probably be stunning!

My photographer's suggestions were Minnehaha Falls and one her of favorite places, The Sibley House (http://www.mnhs.org/places/sites/shs/). I've seen pictures she's done at the Sibley House and they're great!

I don't really have other suggestions, but the stone arch area is so not original because it's just so gorgeous!  FI and I got ours there, and I don't regret it at all despite the cliche.  However, you're not going to get a ton of fall colors at the stone arch area.  So if you're looking for fall colors, that may not be your spot.

Some state parks in southern MN would be great in Oct. Big Woods, Minneaopa, Whitewater, Forestville/Mystery Cave. SW WI too.

We did ours around the guthrie theater/stone arch bridge. It is a great place a lot of variety there and also just a beautiful area in general.

We did ours at Minnehaha Falls, which had a nice mix of scenery - the falls, pergola gardens, vine-covered walls, and the historic train depot. Ours were taken in early October and we had the most gorgeous fall colors!

Centennial Lakes Park, Minnehaha Falls, Mears Park, Rice Park, Loring Park- lots of parks lol!

Stone Arch or Nicollet Island are great.  Just make sure your photographer has a permit to shoot there (Mpls parks are kinda picky about that).  Otherwise, Centennial Lakes, or any of the parks in St Paul are good too.  Or, if you want to drive a bit, Red Wing or Stillwater are really pretty with the colors and the bluffs.

We went to the sculpture gardens and then Gold Medal Park in Mpls. Troy can work magic anywhere though.

And Troy also is great about locations -- you could email him and tell him the "look" or feel of the pictures you are goin for and I bet he'd have some great ideas. He's really good about that.
