My FI and I are looking into having a more southern style meal at our wedding, as he is from Louisiana. His family will be traveling to MN for the wedding, and we thought it would be a unique twist to the reception. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions of a caterer in the Twin Cities area that is great with this type of meal. We are on a budget, so we are really trying to shop around to get the best price.
We have thought of doing chicken, pulled pork, and southern sides from a grocery store (like Cub or Sam's Club), which is definitely the cheapest option. However, I don't know how that would work with set-up, serving, and tear-down. Would it even be feasible to get grocery store catering and then hire a small team to do that for us? I just have no idea how that all works, so I'm looking for any advice.
