Wedding Planner Recommendations?

I am interested in hiring a day of wedding coordinator but don't want to spend more than $500 (read: the FI won't go for it if it's over $500).  Does anyone know of any good ones for cheap?  Thanks so much!

    We went with Steph from First Blush Bride.  We also met with Maria from Ispiri Events.  Both charge $500 and both are great, we basically just flipped a coin to make a decision.  GL!

    Do you have a venue yet? If so I'd check with them - mine actually came with a coordinator!

    Yes, I did check. They do not supply a coordinator. Good suggestion though!

    Deven Nelson was $500 when I was looking around (I actually went with Sarah from Lasting Impressions though, who was $900)...Deven really is excellent and gets great reviews from everyone here, her and I just didn't jive as well as Sarah and I (maybe it's a Sara(h) thing Wink)

    We went with Heather from Until it Looks Right!
    AMAZING - Thus far she has been there anytime I needed her. Her prices are fantastic and I really look forward to our wedding day when she'll be there helping out! :) All of her info is in my bio!

    Aww man, now I really wish I was back living in Mpls! I am just starting out as a DOC and am offering my services free of charge! A friend of mine also went with First Blush Bride and had nothing but great things to say, and I had a blast at her wedding and everything ran very smoothly (and I'm picky about that sort of thing at weddings, heh).     We are using Maria at Isipiri events!  Love her!  Also, FMIL didn't know why I thought I needed a DOC but when she met her she loved her, too!
