Addressing Envelopes

So I've been reading up on this.. and yes handwritten is the way to go, BUT I have like 200 invites staring at me, which wouldn't be bad if my envelopes arrived when I ordered them.  They didn't ship til yesterday which gives me a week to fill them all out.

SO

Did anyone go to a printer?? do it themselves?? Use Address Labels?? just say forget it and throw them out and not have a wedding?? LOL yes I'm THAT stressed about it.

HELP!

    I'm using envelope wraps!

I am printing them on sticky label paper from www.labelsbythesheet.com, and then just slappin' 'em on there!

I tackled 250 envelopes.  The envelopes came on Tuesday and I had them all done the following Sunday.  Minus a few I'm waiting on until the week we send them out incase something changes.  I have to say it was a pain, I did calligraphy.  But, in the end it wasn't bad.  I put in a few movies and got to work.  Once I was going, it went a lot faster.  I think it may actually take more time to get them all run through a printer.  You can also enlist friends to help write them out.  Good luck.  It is something that you can tackle.

I just handwrote mine with a fancy grey gel pen and had no problems other than a couple rejects from spelling mistakes, etc. :)  It probably took 5 nights/a Sunday to finish ours.  It seems daunting, but once you get going it isn't so bad.

I did labels---we have the same wedding date!:) such a fine time right now!!

I actually asked this question on the boards and people's general consensus was labels were A-OK.

We used clear labels that were 2 inches by 4 inches ($20 at office max), so the labels were bigger and because they were clear they looked quite classy.  I used the font "Lucinda Handwriting" which is caligraphic but still very readable and printed them myself in size 14, so they were bigger and filled the envelope nicely.  It was very easy using label maker in Word.  The biggest pain is creating the excel spreadsheet with all of your address information in separate rows...but if you get that done, it's pretty easy.

I personally think it looked really nice, but I'm biased:)

    I'll be honest... I don't like labels.

If you REALLY don't want to hand write them, then at least run the envelopes through your home printer with a nice font. My friend just did that with hers, and I think it ended up looking MUCH nicer than anything would on a label. I don't know why, but I just can't stand labels plastered on invitations.
