DJ?

Hi ladies,

I'm getting down to the last couple vendors that I need to book - and the DJ is one of them! I'm not sure what a typical price range for a DJ is, but I'd like to keep it around $700 if possible. Other than that, I want someone is very comfortable with introducing the wedding party, will keep things moving along, and will stick to a somewhat pre-determined type of music we like. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Check out DJ Ryan Smith at www.djryansmith.com. We paid a little more than you are looking to budget but he may be able to work with you. We loved him!

We're using Chris Leas from Capitol City Sound. He came highly recommended on here when I was planning this time last year!

I just had our final meeting with Night Music. Jodi is our DJ and she was great to talk to today. She totally understood our vision, and said she's stick to the list I gave her as  much as possible (I told her use her discretion for keeping people on the dance floor, but the list I gave her for cocktails and dancing is music we like). She's also going to stick to our no's. She was overall really helpful and totally got the picture. Night Music has won several Best of the Knot awards and have had amazing reviews on weddingwire.com.

I'm using Ohio pro Dj's. Bryan is a really nice guy and came recommended from a top guy at Clear Chanel.  I think he's around $600.00 for 5 hours. Not to mention he just did a charity event and I love companies that take time to help charities.
