Bathroom Baskets

I'm going to put together a basket of supplies for each bathroom at the reception.  I want to include things people may need, but don't have.  If you've done this, or are planning on doing this, let me know what I might be missing.  Or things I've included that may not be really necessary.  Thanks!

I'll get most of these in the small travel sizes - Target carries most of these items for under $2 each.

Tide To-Go sticks
Bandaids
Emory boards
Hairspray
Mini toothbrushes (like Colgate Wisp)
Floss
Lotion
Q-tips
Kleenex
Eye drops or saline solution
Advil
Excedrine
Tums

Women's bathroom only:
Tampons
Pads
Bobby pins
Hair binders
Static guard
Clear nail polish

    Maybe add mouthwash or mints

Perfume and/or spray deodorant.  Nothing worse then feeling like you stink.

Hand sanitizer in case the soap or paper towels run out.

I would caution about putting out medication.  Kids might get into (or maybe even think it's candy!).  Better for that would be to give a bottle or some individual packets of advil/meds to the bartender or someone in charge at the reception that guests might ask.  You could add a note that says meds are at the bar.  You could even be liable if a kid gets sick.

For add ons, the Dollar Tree has these little sewing kits for $1 that have thread, needle, safety pins (broken ziippers anyone?), and buttons.  They have threepacks of combs, too.

Just a thought on the mini-toothbrushes -- those Colgate Wisps are seriously great, but they're not cheap. Those finger brush things are cheaper, I think, but unless you want to fork over a bunch-o-money for fresh breath, mouthwash and dixie cups is a much cheaper option.

But I gotta say, I'd be pretty excited to see a Wisp at a wedding and would probably be tempted to snag one for later use ... just sayin'. :)

I think you've got a GREAT list going on!! Another option for blister prevention would be that blister block stuff from Johnson and Johnson...it looks like a little deodorant stick. OOH! Also, you could throw in some oil blotting papers. A couple of packs should be more than enough, and Walgreen's sells 'em (store-brand, but same thing as the Clean&Clear stuff that I can't live without) for about $4.
Hmmm what else....maybe some of the Hollywood tape? (the double sided kind to keep straps and stuff in place to avoid wardrobe malfunctions...)

annnnnd that's all I can think of!

    Oil-blotting sheets = YES.

Okay this is incredibly random, but how cool would it be to hand out custom made fake tattoos (something cheesy)? Dude, I'd be all over that if I saw them in the basket ...

Thanks ladies!  Great ideas - I knew I could count on you!

I'm not too worried about putting out medication, since it's an adults only reception.  The youngest person invited will be 19 at the time of the reception.

And Debbie, I know what you mean about the Colgate Wisp.  I couldn't find anywhere that still sold the fingertip things.  I may just end up doing floss and mints.
