So, last summer, I searched The Knot and found a DJ company that was highly recommended by The Knot; A Solid Gold Sound. We paid them in full (our first mistake), and I began creating my songlist. I decided to contact them because I had not heard from "my DJ" and I had about 3 months to go before my event. Well, the numbers were disconnected and the email address I had for "Dave" was no longer valid. I searched online and finally found a 800 number that went through. I talked to a representative who said she would have "Ryan" contact me. I waited 3 days with no response so I called the number again and was told that Luke was the local DJ who would contact me. Well Luke called today. He is NOT associated with A Solid Gold Sound.... they WENT OUT OF BUSINESS and forwarded "partial profiles" to Luke and the company that he owns. So, A Solid Gold Sound HAS OUR MONEY and now we need to pay ANOTHER DJ to come to our event. Has this happened to anyone else? I am so frustrated, and have found a few posts on different complaint sites that said people were filing complaints/lawsuits so I am interested to see if I can join in on one of those.
