Response Card wording- what do you think?

I've been working on wording for my response cards, and would like to do something a little different than what may be considered "Traditional." What do you think of this?

We have reserved ___ seats in your honor,     m_____________________________                               Please indicate number of each                               Beef___chicken___Vegetarian___                              Childrens meal___unable to attend___

Please respond by July 10,  2010

Well it's not letting me go back to the normal font and alignment,...
I know the alignment of it isn't right yet, but what are your thoughts on the wording of it? I want to have the "we have reserved __ seats in your name" so that people know if they can bring a guest/children/etc., and also need to know what they want for a meal.

Thoughts?

So, will you write on each cards the # you have actually reserved for them?  Otherwise, I would think leaving that up to them could raise your guest list and include unwanteds to attend.

You might want them to initial which entree they want so that you know what entree to put on their place card.

I like what you have, we want to do something similiar but yeah, how would you know who wanted what if you have 4 guests on that RSVP card and 1 wanted beef and 3 wanted chicken?

I'm using just numbers (not names or initials). Then I will use escort cards to assign a family to a table. That way there is just a number of meals at each table (which will be listed under the table number). Easy peasy. Just make sure your caterer is cool with it (I checked with mine, and he was cool with it).

linzstyle- Yes, I will write the number in for them. That way they know how many seats they get. A small amount of extra work, but I think worth it in the end.

Good question about knowing who would eat what. I wonder if we put "Please initial for each meal? I don't know! Glad someone brought it up though. I suppose we could do it where we know how many of each at a table, but then what happens if people change their mind and want something different? Hope that doesn't happen?

What if it was worded something like this...

Please indicate which meal each person would like

    #1- Chicken___Beef___Veggie___Not attending___

    #2- Chicken___Beef___veggie___Not attending___

(obviously we would know if the children in the family wanted a childrens meal, and then otherwise they could initial what they want?) This could get tricky!

We have to let our caterer know exactly what each person is eating; not just total counts.  If it helps, I put the plan for our RSVP cards below (we tried to keep it as simple as possible).  Then we are also going to color code the ribbon on the escort cards to match their meal selection to make it easy for the servers.

thanks lovebuddies, that's a good possibility too! Is your date July 31? If so ,we are date twins :) My example above says the 10th, but that's just copy and pasted from somewhere else!

No, my date is actually August 28th... I just picked a date for our "mock up" :)  I use to think that was so far away, but it seems to be sneaking up faster and faster!
