Groom/Men's Attire...NOT Savii

Hi Ladies!!
I'm starting the search for men's wear for my October wedding. I'm not set on tuxs or suits yet, so either would work. I do already have all the ties though.

We are looking for black tuxs/suits that are on the 'skinny-er' side if possible.

We checked Savii and they had a few nice options but looking for other suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

  • I will probably go with Tip Top Tux.  They are carried at various bridal shops around the cities.

  • Awesome! Thanks!
  • I haven't done my tuxes yet but if I go where I got my dress the guys all get discounts.  I'd check with where you got your dress.  They may have a deal or a tux shop they are affiliated with that will offer a deal.
    Also we are date twins!!

  • We went through Men's Warehouse.
  • I went with Men's Warehouse.  They have a new Vera Wang tux that comes in a slim cut.  FI and his brothers are pretty thin, so they look much better in a slim cut.  It's not the cheapest tux, but it looks really good on FI.  Customer service has been decent.

  • We also went with Men's Warehouse.  They have been fairly easy to work with so far and since we got my BM dresses at Davids, we got a $40 discount on each one.  They have been a little insane in the last few weeks because of prom, but that probably can be said about any tux shop during this time of year.

  • Wow! Thanks for all the info ladies!!

I got my dress at Che Bella-amazing!!-but unfortunately, they don't carry men's suits/tuxes.

Siepel12- yes it looks like we are! where are you stressing yet? i took 2 weeks off from planning and I feel like i'm wayyyyy behind!

We'll check out Men's Warehouse tomorrow. Thanks ladies!

-Next stop, figure out the cake and cupcakes!
  • We got ours at Formal Affair in Blaine. They are in the same "shop" as Angelic's Bridal.
We did check out Savvi and Men's Warehouse and everything was just blah for a lot of money it seemed. We found a tux we liked WAY better at formal affair for about $40 bucks cheaper. They always have deals (free grooms, X amount off others, etc).
I thought it would be super hard to figure out what we wanted so we put it off for as long as possible and it was such a breeze at formal affair. Good luck!

  • We are going with Jim's Formalwear (carried at multiple places throughout cities) because they seemed the most affordable for the suits we wanted.  Great working with them so far

I'm stressing a little.  I have DIY invitations that I got half way through and not finished.  I have a 8 month engagement so I've had to hurry on everything, I think that's why I'm slacking now!  When you look for cakes I recommened checking out Dorothy Ann in Woodbury.  If you do cupcakes you can get a pretty good deal and they are yummy.

Totally off topic, but Dorothy Ann's is sooooo good! We get all of our special occasion cakes from there and will be getting our wedding cake/cupcakes as well!
