Best memory of 2010? Getting engaged!

Hardest moment in 2010? Gosh, I don't know. I had a pretty good year -- but I'd say my job made me cry a few times.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? (Other than your wedding) My MOH is having a baby in May and my baby sister is turning 16 and we are throwing her a surprise birthday party.

What are you most nervous for in 2011? Planning this wedding. 231 days to go! ahh!

Best Memory of 2010: Becoming Engaged

Hardest moment in 2010: I would have to say that not having a job (the company I worked for shut down as of 12/31/2009...) was the hardest moment. But it became the greatest blessing because I could focus on getting my Masters! 

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? Graduating and getting my masters in Special Education and getting a full time teaching position! (Also, moving out of my parents house again... live there while going to school and planning/paying for the wedding!) 

Most nervous for in 2011? Making the wedding plans all come together, paying for everything for the wedding, and also finding a full time job post graduation!

Best memory of 2010? Wow, it was a really good year - getting engaged and getting my DDS.

Hardest moment in 2010? My grandmother passed away in March.  She was an incredible woman and my last grandparent, I miss her a ton.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? (Other than your wedding) I'm just hoping to survive my first year of residency with my sanity intact. 

What are you most nervous for in 2011? A huge second on planning the wedding.  It is coming up so fast!!

Best memory of 2010? Ditto the "getting engaged"

Hardest moment in 2010?  My boss left at my job, and turns out he made up my position.  It's been totally redefine, and I'm helping out HR - which is what I'm studying in my MBA, but I'm still not thrilled with the position.  Better than the alternative though! 
 
What are you most looking forward to in 2011? (Other than your wedding)  Finishing my MBA.  
 
What are you most nervous for in 2011?  The thought of starting a family - so good nervous.

Best memory of 2010?: Aside from the obvious of getting engaged, definitely graduating with my bachelors and getting into and starting law school. Oh and getting my puppy

ETA: After seeing other responses, I also definitely need to include when my dog Smoothie was put down in July. He had cancer and it was for the best, but it was terribly hard.

Hardest moment in 2010?: Probably studying for finals this past semester

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? (Other than your wedding): Probably finishing my 1L year and hopefully getting a good summer job.

What are you most nervous for in 2011?: Getting that summer job!

Best memory of 2010?: Just starting a life with H in general.  The wedding, combining finances, getting a puppy, cooking together, etc.  If I had to pick one specific memory, though... my grandma getting teary-eyed when she was writing out our Christmas check and had to change my last name.

Hardest moment in 2010?: H went through a lot of drama with his family, which sucked.  Especially since there was nothing I could do to help/change things.  That, and there wer ea few really trying times at work this year. 
What are you most looking forward to in 2011? (Other than your wedding): Hopefully buying a house!  My sister also got accepted to the U, so I'm so excited to have her in the same city... instead of 3 hours away.

What are you most nervous for in 2011?: Buying a house! and saving up to start TTC.

Best memory of 2010?
Finally moving back to MN after living in SD for 5 years.  Last night was also a blast.  My 9y.o brother had a "dance party" and we all played Dance Central on his xbox.  Watching a 9 year old dance to "Crank That" by Soulja Boy is hilarious!  Also spending an entire year being engaged!

Hardest moment in 2010?

Having to move my grandma into assisted living.  Her dementia is getting worse.  It's hard to watch her decline.  She still remembers me but doesn't remember I'm getting married or who FI is. 

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?
Other than getting married of course I'm really looking forward to the family reunion for my mom's side of the family in July.  Everyone agreed the wedding weekend would go by too fast to count, but hey I'll take some extra vacation days!

What are you most nervous for in 2011?
(Hopefully) going back to school in the fall.

Best memory of 2010?

Just enjoying the wedding planning - great day when we actually booked the venue!  NWR- Having Friendsgiving and Friendsmas (Thanksgiving and CHristmas with my friends)

Hardest moment in 2010?
Deciding that after 10yr at my job it was time to leave.  It was so hard telling my boss and staff, but it was the best for me.  OH and all the crapola with my car...

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? 
Starting my new job (not in training anymore as of monday) Also of course the wedding.  My FI gpa is turning 90 in june so going to TX for that too.  OH and getting a new car!

What are you most nervous for in 2011?
Starting my new job :P Paying for the wedding, and paying for a new car... Money sucks...

Best memory of 2010? Hitting my weight loss goal and going paintballing for the first time come to mind. And throwing a surprise party for FI's 30th birthday.

Hardest moment in 2010? Getting through 5 condensed, hardcore classes this summer while working close to 40 hours a week. And all of the pre-hitting my weight loss goal.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? Getting married after a 2.5 year engagement and GRADUATING this spring!

What are you most nervous for in 2011? Running my first half marathon in April and trying to find my first big kid job after graduation

Weight Watchers worked wonders for me! I hit my weight loss goal of 25 lbs after 5 months back in March. I think I remember that you've used them too, right? I'd totally recommend them to anyone.

And yes, I get that ALL the time about FI's age, he's definitely blessed with the "young looking" genes :-)

Best memory of 2010?
Getting engaged takes the cake. Everything else pales in comparison.

Hardest moment in 2010?
Having to put my puppy down. We'd had her for about 9 months and then she got violently ill. There was nothing anyone could do. I'm glad that FI was there for me during that time.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?
Besides the wedding, hopefully buying a home and getting a full time jiob. I've been underemployed for a long time and really need to get a full time teaching job.

What are you most nervous for in 2011?
The economy. Like I said, I really need a job. I hope that FI can get one, too, after her graduates.

Hardest moment in 2010? Saying goodbye to my best canine friend of 17 years, had to put my dog Scamper down 09/03/10, hardest thing I ever did

What are you most nervous for in 2011?I really want to find a better job.  I've been at my job for 3 years since college and I'm ready to move into something better and more challenging.

Best memory of 2010?
Getting engaged was ,of course, wonderful.  FI getting a house and the two of us moving in together and having my dog finally able to live with us was wonderful too!   We also took a fantastic vacation to NYC. 

Hardest moment in 2010?
Finding out that my parents were moving and my brother is getting a divorce.  Been a lot of family drama that's been extremely difficult to deal with.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?
I'm looking forward to taking a vacation to SC with FI this year and getting our house in order.

What are you most nervous for in 2011?
Trying to find a full time job.  I hate interviewing!

Adopting Journey (our Boxer) and moving my sister and her family closer (2 miles) from all of us.

Hardest moment in 2010?
Watching my mom go through surgery and healing for hopefully a non-cancerous schwanoma in her neck, most recent surgery last Wed. waiting for path report from Mayo.

Best memory of 2010?  getting engaged.... I think my other one would be this past summer was a really good one with my FI and friends. We actually did A lot with each other and made some really good memories. Which is really nice since now looking back it was my FI and I's last single summer together, we loved remembering all those good times on NYE.

 

Hardest moment in 2010? I think the hardest moment in 2010 was not having a job from being laid off and then not having a car to drive. it really put a strain on me and my FI's relationship. But we got through it   

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?  I am most looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life with my future husband.   I'm excited for moving in with him, it'll be my first experience of living in a condo building.  I'm looking forward to my honeymoon, I havent been on a vacation for awhile. I'm looking forward to having a better relationship with my family, I'm hoping that after the wedding things will get better since I wont be around them 24/7.

What are you most nervous for in 2011?

 I am most nervous for my new life that I will have with my FI. I'm nervous about how me and FI will get along in a 800 square foot condo   I'm nervous about alot of things that might be TMI to alot of you haha.

Best memory of 2010? Going to Aruba with the girls- such an amazing trip!

Hardest moment in 2010? November in general- topper was my dr's appt where she took 4 little biopsies of my cervix and it was the most excruciating pain I have ever felt. Tip: Do NOT take Ibuprofen before you go to the female dr- makes your cervix much more tender

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? Thom moving in and my roommate moving out in April/May- FINALLY we can have the place to ourselves!! and SPACE (my roommate has a lot of junk)

What are you most nervous for in 2011? Nervous for getting my wisdom teeth out in jan or Feb, and for budgeting for the wedding-

Hardest moment in 2010?
We had to put our dog Boomer down in October. He was 15 years old and was really having a hard time with arthritis in his hips and couldn't really see or hear anymore, but that sure doesn't make it any easier.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?
Graduating from law school!! And getting married!

What are you most nervous for in 2011?
The bar exam, hands down.

Hardest moment in 2010? 
FI g'pa just died before Christmas.  2010 was a great year and it was very sad to end it that way.  He's in a better place and not in pain anymore...but FI was very close to him so it was really hard on him.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?
Getting Married is the obvious...but also looking forward to going on 2 vacations.  Honeymoon is the big one but we are also going on a cruise in 3 months.  We are a part of a 'vacation club' so it's so affordable to vacation at least twice a year!!  Can't wait to get out of the cold!!!!

What are you most nervous for in 2011?
Planning the wedding.  We have 8 weddings before ours so I am nervous about being able to get things done.

Medical issues. FI had surgery in April, I had a procedure/scare in October, Gma had surgery in November and Mom had surgery in Dec. I'm ready for the medical stuff to be OVER.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011? 

No School!! Possibly going to CA in April. Going to Sturgis in August and then taking our honeymoon at some point after August.

What are you most nervous for in 2011?
My Mom's radiation in Jan/Feb. Planning the wedding (I feel SO behind).

Best memory of 2010?  bringing my first pet, Wesley, home.  Now I know why people love their dogs so much!  Also, getting engaged was pretty okay.

Hardest moment in 2010?  nothing really earth-shattering happened, but work really sucked until about a month ago when I got my old job back.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?   Besides getting marrried, spending 4 whole days with my BFF during the week of the wedding.  We see each other so rarely, I really look forward to it.  Hopefully we'll take a honeymoon, too, but that hasn't been decided yet.  I'm also looking forward to going back to school and getting a real chocolatier opened, if the economy ever improves.

What are you most nervous for in 2011?  Trying to get pregnant.  I'm 35 now (as of 12/31/10), and am very worried about being more prone to birth defects because of my age and this will be my first child.

Moving in with my fiance this summer was a definite contender.. Also a trip to Beijing, China with my former vocal jazz group from college was awesome!

My parents losing their beautiful lake home due to the economy.

Besides the obvious (getting married!), I am looking forward to starting a new "big girl" job, my first full-time job ever!

Pretty much the two things I mentioned in the previous question, hehe! Nervous about getting everything pulled together (and paid for) for the wedding and nervous about starting my new job--I start in a week!

Happy birthday!  I feel ya!  I will be 34 in April.  Happens all the time now a days - but still has me worried too.  Will also be my first.

ETA:  What kind of puppy?  How old now?  How's he doing?
