AW - Pleated Tote!

So I decided that I wanted to take a shot at making pleated totes for the BM's for part of their gift.  This weekend I got a pattern, fabric & all the other things I needed to make one.  I figured this would be my trial to see how hard it was & to price it out.

It turned out awesome & didn't take to long at all!  Now I've just got to figure out which fabric to do & I can knock out 4 more!  = )

SO CUTE!  What pattern is it??  I may want to do these for my girls too.  How much per tote did you spend? of course it depends on fabric but roughly??  Love it

JB - The pattern is from JoAnn's & it's the Pinafore Bag from Me and My Sister Designs.  I'm not sure on the total amount yet.  I ended up getting 2 yards of fabric, but it calls for 1 3/4.  I took some things out of the bag & added a few things too.  I took out the fusible fleece interfacing, the bag lining & a handle tie.  I also could have done the base & the handles in two different colors, but like the monochromatic look!  I added the button & loop closure. 

If I were to get 1 3/4 yards for each tote, at the price I just paid, it would be $9.78 for fabric per tote.  The button was $2.50 & could vary, depending on what I pick.  The pattern was $9, but I'm splitting the cost by 5, since I'm using it for 5 different bags!

So all in all, I think each tote will be about $12-$15... Not to shabby, I think!  = )
