good deoderant

August wedding means it will be hot.  What's the best deoderant out there?

I've been experimenting the last few months, too, for an august wedding, and who knows what will happen on the day of, but the secret clinical strentgh water proof seems to be my fave so far.

Everyone's sweat-o-meter is a little different, so I'd suggest, if you have the time, to try out at least 2 for a complete week before you decide if you like it or not.

If you are really looking for a heavy duty one, you could always try the "non-traditional" deodorants. I remember before prom in high school I was worried about it and ended up buying something that you actually use at night rather than in the morning. If I remember right, it was called Certain Dri and it was "near prescription strength anti-persperant" although you didn't need a prescription for it.  This was a long time ago, so I'm not sure if it's still around, but it worked really well!

Certain Dri is still around.  You put it on at night for a couple of days before your wedding.  It's supposed to stop you from perspiring (under your arms at least).  You can get it at Target.

I used one of the "clinical strength" ones out now - can't remember which.  I was good all day.

I've used Certain Dri in the past, like at prom etc.  It's a liquid that you roll on you underarms at night before bed.  It did stop me from sweating! I also however used another deodorant that I put on in the morning because Certain Dri is a liquid with no smell.  And I just wanted to be on the safe side lol

I tried the Secret Clinical Strength, and it didn't really make any more of a difference than my regular deodorant on our VERY hot wedding day. I wish I would have gone with something stronger, but didn't think I would need it! I had to reapply deodorant after our outdoor pics cuz I was getting funky, lol.

I use Certain Dri every once in a while when I really want to make sure I don't sweat.  It works great, but I would suggest experimenting with it before your wedding.  I've found that if I apply it too often (every night for more than 2 or 3 days) that it really irritates my skin.  So I usually do every other night for about a week before I need it.  And I always apply my regular deodorant in the morning, just for added protection, and the scent.

Certain Dri works pretty well... but irritates my skin pretty badly, especially is I use it too often (like shameless said). Secret Clinical Strength works most of the time, but I felt like if I did get stinky when using it, I got even stinkier than I normally would... if that makes sense.

I would recommend Lady MItchum. It's more of a regular strength, run-of-the-mill option, but it works really freaking well for me. Just make sure to apply it well before getting officially dressed for the day. If it doesn't have a chance to adequately air-dry, you run the risk of it not working very well.
