Silverwood Park - Three Rivers Parks

Wondering if anyone knows details about their catering/alcohol policy? Reading about it on their website left me a little confused. Do they let you bring in your own beer/wine/food if you don't choose from one of their caterers?

Also, has anyone had any experiences with them?

Thanks in advance!

We're having our reception at the Elm Creek Chalet, which is a part of Three Rivers.

Yes, you can bring in your own food & drink, but there are restrictions to it all.  If it's a green gathering site, you have to make sure everything you bring in is biodegradable.  Plates, forks, etc.. If you're not having real plates & whatnot.

For alcohol, if you bring your own in, you have to get insurance & aren't allowed kegs I believe.  If you go with the beverage service they suggest, which is what we did, then you could have kegs or bottles.  They don't allow hard liquor, but do allow wine, wine coolers & malt beverages.

    GL!  = )

Hi there, we're having our reception at Silverwood in April, and YES their alcohol policy is confusing! In fact, even after we signed the contract we were under the assumption that we could bring our own alcohol....which you can, if you decide to do your own catering as well (make your own food, or bring it in w/ no caterer present), however, if you decide to have a caterer, here is their policy (copied/pasted from Jenn-- one of Silverwood's coordinators)

Yes if you have the event catered and wish to have beer, wine or malt
beverages it would need to be provided by the caterer or beverage vendor
    on our approved list.

If you wish to make your own food, pick it up from another location and
bring it in on your own or have a pot luck style event that you would be
able to bring in your own beer, wine and malt beverages.

    Hope that helps.
