Officiant?

So I'm clueless here. We are not getting married in a church, and neither of us is particularly religous.  How do we go about finding a non-denominational officiant? Should we find someone now, or do we have time to wait until later?

That depends on when you're getting married ;-)

We're using Jim Albani. He' s a minister that performs religious and non religious ceremonies (non-religious for us but our church required a minister) and I highly recommend him

Do you have a close friend that could get ordained online to perform the ceremony? FI and I actually had a couple friends that were already ordained to choose from. Otherwise you could go with a judge, I'm pretty sure that most of them will travel to your site.

They can perform ceremonies in any county in MN. You could probably also contact your county to find out if they have a list of officiates.

We are also having a non-religious ceremony and are going to be married by Matthew Lane from Affordable I Do's.  Susan Lee-Wright is the owner of the company and she writes all the ceremonies and lets you customize it in any way you like.

We haven't gotten married yet, but so far I highly recommend her company!  Just spending an hour with her was enough to know that she is definitely right for us.  And the pricing is affordable too compared to many of the judges that I looked at.  We'll be paying $265.00.

Little late, but I also have a list in the vendor section of the MSP bio (link in my sig.)  Check with all of them. Most non-religious officiants will incorporate religious stuff and vice-versa.
