When we booked Imagen last year for our 9/14/12 wedding, we read nothing but good reviews. We were really happy with our choice until this summer. It became nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone with Imagen. We were supposed to do a studio shoot this summer to see which photographer we would have on our wedding day, because we had our e-pics done by a family member when we had booked. That did not happen, and we didn't even find out who our photographer was until two days before the wedding. Now all I see are bad reviews on their facebook about people who have not received photos for months after their wedding. We are very anxious about this, as it just seems that the company has taken a dive for the worse. It seems from the multiple bad reviews I've read this summer and fall that this is not an isolated incident. 

Have others on The Knot had bad experiences lately?

We just had our engagement pics taken with them this weekend. Lizzy and an assistant did our shoot. She did mention they've been extremely busy this summer. They were pretty punctual and the shoot seemed to go smoothly. Not sure what exactly to expect at one of those shoots, though. :-) She told us that it will take about 2.5 weeks to get our pics back. I'll let you know when we do and I'll give you more thoughts on the experience. I'm saving final judgment until we get our pics back. We have had some issues with them getting back to us in a timely manner, but it's been better recently. I'm hoping for the best for both of us! I've unfortunately heard bad things about Imagen lately. I hope you guys get your photos back soon :-)

I've heard some not so great things about Imagen since they switched back to their "International" label vs. Imagen by Alex when we used them.  I never had any real issues with contacting them, and my experience otherwise was great.  It did take a while to get pics back, including one getting lost in the mail, but nothing crazy.  I think our wedding photos were to us almost exactly 6 weeks after our wedding.

I haven't had problems contacting them lately, but that was probably because it was right before my wedding and they had to respond.  My photography for the wedding day was awesome, but obviously I'm still waiting on pics because my wedding was less than 2 weeks ago.  I've been satisfied with them, but I suppose now is the waiting game to see how long it takes to get pics.

This is the way they work I have learned. My wedding was in June 2012, they completely stopped communicating after. It took me 4 months of emails and calls to finally get my pictures. Now 6 months later they still owe me a $100 print credit and they refuse to honor it. No one will return emails or calls. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB and LIzzy actually called me shortly after but then once again stopped responding. Try filing a complaint, it's the only way it seems to get them to respond. I deeply regret ever hiring them.
