Accessorize me

So I am having trouble with the jewelry at this point. I like so much out there but am worried that it will all be too much when it all comes together.
I have a rhinestone vintage cuff about 1-1/2" wide (Love this) and a birdcage veil that I made with a flower fascinator. I'll take off the veil once the ceremony is over but keep the flower/feather fascinator on. I plan on wearing my hair mostly down but pulled back on the side with the fascinator. I am going for a non-time specific vintage look. Obviously with the birdage veil it is 50s but the dress is more hollywood 30s. I need help with earrings and whether or not to wear a necklace. There is a removeable brooch on the dress. I think that I like the idea of a pendant necklace with some sparkle and dangling earring (sort of art deco inspired). I think after the veil is off the whole look will be 20s-30s. What is too much?

And here is my dress. I hate this picture but I don't have any yet of me in it. It has silver beading all over.

Any ideas or favorties? The wedding shoppe had a lot of options but I felt overwhelmed thinking about it.

If I didn't mention when you posted a pic of this before, I think it's GORGEOUS!

There's enough detail on your dress that you don't need much else. W/something pretty in your hair and a cool bracelet, I would keep it simple w/the necklace and earrings. Maybe you could find a cool necklace and earrings set that you like? I wouldn't go overboard w/it.

I didn't look too hard, but maybe something like this?

    That is a gorgeous dress!

My first choice with this dress would be no necklace at all. Second choice would be a pendant-style neclace. Anything else I think would be too much and take away from how beautiful the dress is - especially the necline and shoulder straps the way they are.

I would do some sort of sparkly dangly earring. This too, I think would look better if you went without a neclace.

I love your taste, by the way!

I would either do a necklace OR earrings, but not both. I'm more of a necklace person myself, so if it were me... I would opt for a necklace. Also, I wouldn't do anything with a dangling pendant of any sort... I think a short, pendantless option would fit more with the style and era. Maybe a rhinestone or carnival glass choker?

I'd go with earrings and your cuff bracelet. With your fascinator in your hair, earrings, and the detail of your dress's straps, a necklace would be overkill. I'd probably keep the earrings somewhat small, too, nothing dangling more than 1" so they don't fight with your fascinator. Too much stuff around the head gets overwhelming. You want people to see you before they see your jewelry.

    Beautiful dress!

I am leaning towards the one or the other but not both myself. I love the dangling earrings both posted. And then I worry with the silly fascinator right next to it - it might be overwhelming. I keep going back and forth. I hate to buy things before having the dress (it is going to come very last minute) but I could always return something if I buy matching pieces.

Thank you very much for the ideas - and the dress compliments. I cannot wait to wear it - and I swear my hips don't look so wonky in it!

I love the look you are going for! I would not wear a necklace unless you find a very small sentimental one.

For earrings I think you can do something dramatic like this:

They are perfect for that vintage feel and will look great with your neckline.

ooo I love PP's earring suggestion. Either these & no necklace... or pearl/diamond studs and a simple 1-tier pearl necklace. Brides of France has cool vintage stuff - I bought a necklace there and was tempted by the drop earrings before thinking that would be too much w/my big necklace.

Oh lordy those are beautiful. Where did you find those Genevieve? And I do need to check out Brides of France. I cannot believe I haven't been there yet! Seems like the consensus or leanings is towards earrings. That is so helpful - thank you.

They are actually the earring I wore!! I bought mine on Bravobride, but you can buy them new here: http://wedding-resources.com/accessories/product.php?p=016711&c=009181

I've seen them on other wedding jewelry sites too.

I would do diamond studs only. With all of the detail on your dress and in your hair, you don't need anything else to look amazing. You want them to see you, not the jewels : )
