Transportation

Hi all, I'm thinking about this incredibly early, but I'm wanting to get a realistic budget in order.

What kind of limo/bus transportation will you/did you use for your wedding?  We're going to need something for sure between the ceremony and reception for an hour or so.  But we're also considering having one for pre-ceremony while we're taking pictures.  We're getting married in White Bear Lake and plan to take photos in Stillwater.  Depending on the price of transporation, we'll either drive ourselves to Stillwater for pictures and only use the limo for in between, or have it the whole afternoon.

Company suggestions?  We have 12 people in the bridal party, including us and ushers, so that's how many we'll need to transport.

Thanks!

I recommend Excel Limo. They had the best prices we found, by a considerable amount. I think we paid somewhere around $500 (just appx!) for 4 1/2 hrs with a 10-person limo. The limo was really nice and clean and the driver was really good. We only had 9 adults, and fit very comfortably.

We did kinda the opposite of you - ceremony in Stillwater, reception in White Bear, with pictures between those places in Mahtomedi : ) We thought about doing pictures in downtown Stillwater, but we didn't have a ton of time for pictures and were too nervous about getting into and around and out of downtown Stillwater on a summer weekend.

Thanks Izzy!  Your reception was at the White Bear Country Inn, right?  That's were ours is.  Did everything go well?  I'd love to hear your vendor review on the space!

We are using Sonic Limo, we have 17-18 people so we reserved the Navigator for 2 hours, I think it was $600.  They have less expensive options too.  John has been great to work with so far.

We used Custom Luxury. We had them for 2 hours between the ceremony and reception, and I think it was around $250.

We're going to use our limo (getting a classic black stretch Cadillac or Town Car) just to pick us up at the reception venue in St. Paul where we're getting ready, take us to our ceremony site, and back to the reception possibly with pictures along the way, so hopefully only 4 hours or so.

Who all is everyone going to have ride with them?  We've got a WP of 9, including our officiant.  Do we include ushers, RBs, FGs, and parents?  I know the kids would love to ride in the limo, but I don't know if there will be room.

I want Cake -- We are having the WP (4 BM, 2 Jr BM, 4 GM) 10 plus 2 Ushers, 1 Program Guy, 1 reader, and us makes 16 ppl. (MAYBE my PI as well) I am thinking of getting a 20 person.
I think they always overestimate how many people can fit.
