bachlorette party locations?

So me and my girlfriends are starting to plan the bachlorette party and I was curious if anyone had suggestions for places within a few hours drive of Columbus.  Maybe somewhere that has beaches (it will be june), places to go during the day (vineyard, microbrew tour, etc) and fun stuff to do at night.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Re: bachlorette party locations?

  • I would for sure second Put-In-Bay! If you wanted to do a mini-weekend thing, they have AMAZING cottages to rent up there on the lake! And, if you get a chance, check out the Grand Hotel! :)
  • I second Put-In-Bay!

Without beaches, there's a cool vineyard in Indiana called Olivers. It's about an hour from Indianapolis, so you could stay in Indy and drive out to the vineyard. There's a lot to do in Indy, and it's about 3- 3.5 hours from Columbus.

Other options that are a bit further away- Indiana Dunes National Park, they're really cool, right on Lake Michigan and I believe there are some vinyards and things nearby.

Depending on what you define as a few hours drive, you could also come to Chicago. It's about 6 and a half hour drive from Columbus. We have nice beaches (seriously) and tons to do!

  • I was pretty excited about Put in Bay too but recently Ive heard from several people that the pool and area in general get pretty insane (were just a little burnt out from spring break style partying).
  • Put in bay is an absolute blast but is very much like a spring break party.

  • Cabin in Gatlinburg? That might be a far drive, but you could rent a nice cottage and go hiking?
  • If you're not up for the partying, you could try Kelly's Island. It's super low-key.
  • We rented a cabin in hocking hills.  No beach, but we did have a pool, hot tub, movie theater room, volleyball, pool table, etc.  We brought corn hole and beersby too.  It was an absolute blast!
