anyone been to the darby house? Galloway, Oh

has anyone gotten married at the darby house or been to a wedding there??? This is one of the top choices for us but I wanted other opinions on this location before I book!!!

My FI and I went and looked at it, but decided that it was not for us, it is very pretty and I like the idea of the seperate space and it is really pretty but we were doing a november wedding and i think that it would be better for fall, but it is very pretty and i personally have heard nothing but good things about it.

This was on the top of my list too untill I saw the cost. Way out of my budget. I haven't been to weddings there but an friend did get married there and her pictures were gorgeous!

Darby House was on my dream list...sigh

It's fabulous and you can't go wrong with Cameron Mitchell catering.  Yum!

My cousin had her wedding and reception there last fall. It was absolutely beautiful, everything was perfect. The location is amazing, with indoor and outdoor spaces. The food was amazing, of course.

If I could afford it and if it were closer to downtown, I would absolutely use it for my own wedding.

I will be getting married at Darby in 18 days and could not be more excited about it.  The onsite coordinators are amazing and take care of all the extras- putting place cards out, setting up my cupcakes, putting garland in the trees, etc without any extra cost.  We are doing a Sunday which helps a lot!  They have the free carriage service and also all my vendors are in love with the site and agree that Darby is easy to work with.  I will let you know more once the wedding is over but I cannot say how much I recommend this site.  We are having 158ppl and are keeping the entire wedding (ceremony, reception, inviations, everything) under 18K.

Thank you all so much for all the info, it sounds amazing so I think we are going to book it tomorrow. we did a walk through and I loved the scenery!! yes kmosu please let me know how your wedding turns out there and if possible a picture!!! and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

we looked there, and recently attended a wedding there. it was nice, but the two rooms weren't as utelized as they should've been- maybe cutting the cake in the dancing room would be a good way to get guests over into that room to start the party after dinner! do you have a photog yet? the photographer who shot the wedding we attended just last month put up pictures of my friend, and they were super!! always helps to know that your photographer has shot at your location!
