Venue help

Hello! I've been looking for ceremony and reception venues for a while now and I feel like I'm missing out on something. Everywhere I find is so expensive! So I thought I'd see if anyone has some ideas for me. I'm not too picky on the location. I'm looking for a place off 94 or 494 between St. Cloud and Eagan (anywhere in there should be pretty convenient for everyone). I'm not looking for a church for the ceremony. We would like an outside ceremony if possible and indoor reception. Guest list will probably be around 200 people or so. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Good point :-) Most places I've been seeing are around or over $1500 for the reception. I'm looking to stay under $1000 if possible. Date isn't set yet but May or June next year is what we're looking at right now.

I have not used it but I have heard good things about the Eagan Community Center.I am unsure of the price but I know some brides on here have used them.  Maybe you can find some reviews.

Sorry I can't make my venue a suggestions...its all the way down in Lakeville.

    GL!

Look into local community that will let you bring in your own food and alcohol.  Keep in mind a Friday or Sunday wedding may be less expensive.  You can also save money by getting married outside of peak season (think months of November-March).  GL with your search!

Thanks for the suggestions! A friend suggested the Profile Event Center and another suggested some all inclusive places because it may end up being cheaper. I'll definitely have to do the math on that but does anyone know of any other all inclusive places?

These are the places I looked at around that area.  We decided to go with Royal Cliff in Eagan because they are awesome, I know their food and it's reasonable for pricing.  I also looked into Eagan Community Center which may benefit you for outdoor space.  Or check out the Lost Spur in Eagan, that was another option for us but we went a different route.  Hopefully that'll help you a bit!

There is the Kelly Inn in St Cloud. shan87 just got married there and she had a pretty good review of it. You could PM her or page her on a separate post if you wanted more info. I think another knottie is getting married there too, but I blanked on who at the moment!

Embassy suites in bloomington is an all inclusive venue.
Also if you want a low cost venue with outdoor ceremony you could actually have it at the rennaissance festival grounds. They rent out Bad Manor for really cheap when the festival isn't running.

Try Carousell Works in Big Lake it costs 850$ to rent and their caterer starts at 11$ a plate for buffet. IN addition, you can bring in your own alcohol and pay their bartender 150$ to serve.
