send out our STD?  Our wedding is August 8, 2010-which is a Sunday.  We do have a number of out of town relatives/guests that will need to book air and such.  Also, should I send out STD to everyone on  our list?  At first I was just thinking of sending them out to just our OOT guests, but maybe that isn't such a good idea because local guests will find out that our OOT guests received a STD and then wonder where theirs are?

6 months should be fine. some people will tell you earlier, a lot of the brides on the Aug. board have already sent theirs, but nothing says you HAVE to send anything, personally further than 6 months out feels too long and it would get forgotten about. I have an 8/13 wedding and am hoping to have mine in the mail around Valentines Day.

As for who to send them to, I'd say all or none!

same here...my wedding is Aug 14 and my plan is to have them in the mail by Valentines day!

I disagree with PP about sending to all or none. You first of all only want to send STD to people who you absolutely, positively know you will be inviting. If you think that a STD is only necessary for OOT guests, I think it's totally acceptable to only send them to those that you think will need one.
