NWR: I have strep throat :(

I'd like to know who the generous person was who shared this with me -- or why my body decided I wasn't having enough fun so let's bring strep into the loop???  Grrr.....at least I have my meds now, so hopefully should start feeling better by tomorrow with any luck.  But dang, really??  Hope I'm better by Friday, we're supposed to be having a cocktail party!  And I don't think this is a party favor anyone is interested in getting  :)  thanks for letting me vent

    Awwwwwwwww strep is no bueno!

    The best thing I ever had when I got strep was a shot in the arse. Seriously, it worked SO FAST! If anyone ever has that option...do it. IT seems weird, and it hurts a little, but it hurts waaaaaaaay less than strepness.

    ick. I was actually just telling FI that I think I'm getting strep.  I really hope it's just my allergies though.

    You know last time someone posted their illness I ended up sick with the same thing like two days later... I hope I don't catch strep now! I don't have any tonsils though so I really hope I don't get it. I don't even know how I would know I had strep without tonsils.

    Thanks ladies!  A shot, eh?  Hmm...if this ever happens again I'll inquire about that!
    Yeah, thought it was just b/c it's like the arctic in our apt (DH likes to keep it chilly....and by chilly I mean FREEZING) so thought I breathed in too much cold air, or maybe I snored Sat night & it roughed up my throat.....nada.  At least it feels like the penicillen is kicking in, still feels like I'm swallowing swords (just slightly duller ones) And EmilyCMN I hope you don't get sick, I promise not to cough on my computer  :)

    I hope you feel better soon! I like to think of strep as a perfect reason to eat lots of sherbet and watch bad chick flicks.
