E-pic attire - PIP!

I've been obsessing about this dress for our e-pics coming up
in October.  For one outfit we're going with a retro-type theme.  This dress at Anthropologie was absolutely perfect but they didn't have my size at stores here or online.  I was so bummed and looking online for alternatives but I've seriously been hooked on this particular dress.
Today is my lucky day!  FI knows my love of this dress and he's in Chicago for work.  He came up with the idea for me to call stores there to see if they might have it. One store there has one dress in my size - it was meant to be!  He's going to pick it up and bring it safely to me (I hope it fits!!!!).
Now to accessorize...
I thought about wearing a cute sweater over it (maybe green? or red? or yellow?) and then some adorable shoes of course (red or black?)
Anyone have some style tips for me?

    I think yellow would be adorable to accessorize with for this dress, or red depending on what looks best with your complexion. It is an adorable dress!!! Can't wait to see the pics :)

    I agree with red or yellow- they both would look great  with the dress and would be a fun pop of color.Very cute dress!

    Very cute! For some reason, I'm seeing a green cardi with this vs yellow or red...although those would be nice too! I guess it would all depend on your skin, hair, and eyes.

    Pearls are always classic when it comes to the jewelry, and you can pretty much get them anywhere. Otherwise, I'd recommend checking out some vintage shops or antique stores for jewelry.

    As far as shoes are concerned, I'd go with a sensible mary jane or t-strap style pump. Sorta like this from modcloth.com (currently sold out) :


    Or these from footnotes.com (not necessarily in these colors. The color may depend on the color you go for in the cardi, but you get the idea):



    Another option for shoes would be a nice peep toe. I'd stay away from any platform styles or anything that's going to look too modern, cuz it'll throw off your vintage vibe. Good luck and let us know what you end up choosing!
