Too many white walls at Reception site.. Help!

Hi! So I'm getting married next Summer (2012) and we're having a rustic woodsy theme, or at least thats the current plan. Our colors will be a rich purple/plum, chocolate brown and a light green(like the bump tag on the top of the website). Our centerpieces will most likely have moss as table runners and white table cloths. Its going to be at the Scandia Communtiy just because its close to our ceremony site. Lots of tall white walls and I can't hang things from the ceiling tiles but they do have some hooks along the molding. I was thinking we could drap fabric and lights along the walls but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas??
And if anyone has catering adive for that area that'd be cool too. We're going to the wedding fair on the 9th and I'm really hoping that helps becasue i don't even know where to start.

Could you do some major drama on the tables?  Colored linens, bold flowers, etc??

When I got married, we rented brown table cloths and then rented these beautiful red napkins with a gold trim around them.  We had bright beautiful flowers set up high on crystal rises on all the tables too (I personally get bummed when I can't see/talk to people across the table from me because you can't see over or around the flowers so we made sure that the flowers were conversation friendly).  Don't think anyone noticed the beige on beige striped wallpaper from the venue space because the tables were totally glam.

Did the brown tablecloths make it look too dark in there? I love the rich colored Dahlias and bright green irish bells. I work at a florist so I've seen so many deisgns that its hard for me to stick with something. I saw one that had curly willow in a hurricane vase with irish bells sticking out of it. But I still worry about the walls. The head table won't be up against a wall either..

I would look into doing some uplighting, it can really transform a room.  I know Midwest Sound and Instant Request are now offering it if you are having a DJ.

I don't think it looked too dark.  Uplighting is a great idea too!  You could even see if they have some colored films to put over the lights so it isn't just a white light shining up on a white wall.

Here's a shot of our tables so you can get an idea of how brown looked.

Well we're just making our playlist off of a laptop but I know my Dad has some big lights in his garage. Maybe that would help. This community center does have a disco ball hanging from the ceiling.. Thanks Ladies!

Definitely look into uplighting, Midwest Sound will do it, even if you don't have them as a DJ.
