Alterations in Twin Cities?

My dress was a sample so, in addition to being tailored to fit me, it needs some small stains removed etc.

Right now I'm considering Su's alternations in Minneapolis. Anyone have success there? Or any other recommendations? I'd like to stay in the metro area.

Also, do alteration places usually hold your dress until your wedding for you?

Amazing Alterations - they're in Anoka and absolutely, 100% worth the drive.  Brenda did an amazing job, was so sweet and helpful and came in about half the price I was expecting to have to pay.

I couldn't come up with anything bad to say about her if you paid me.

Agree with PP!! I just went to Amazing Alterations last week for my first fitting & I was so impressed!

She didn't bat an eye when she realized she had to pretty much take my dress apart in order to tailor it to fit me. She was so friendly and very reasonably priced! She will hold your dress for as long as you need. If you don't have anywhere to store it she will keep it until your wedding. AND, she has the cutest dog

And another vote for Amazing Alterations!  I've had two fittings and have my final one this Friday.  Brenda has had to recreate the top of my dress and it looks perfect...and is very reasonably priced for all the work she has done!

Sounds like you've already made your decision but I would also add another vote for Brenda. She was just awesome. My bust was not fitting right and she was able to find some silk organza to make into a halter at the last minute and it was perfect! You won't regret working with her.
