Cookie Bar

Have any of you been to a wedding with a cookie bar? OR have you done a cookie bar yourself?

I have been thinking about doing this instead of the candy bar. I really like some of the things that i have seen and i LOVE cookies. Also, i think i could turn the cookies into favors. Upside i could make all these cookies myself downside: i could end up making alot of cookies, but have a blast doing it. Plus, I would add in some kringla and maybe some brownies as well.

I think it sounds awesome, in fact I was hoping to as well. My venue wouldn't let me bring in outside food (they have one specific caterer). Candy was fine, but Cookies no. So check on that.  It could be fun getting moms, aunts and grandmas involved too.

I think we are doing this as well.  I was reading a board and I think it's very common in Pennsylvania, or something like that.

I'm going to put out little bags so people can take some home if they'd like.  And maybe decorate the bag with a stamp or something.  I think we're also asking Grandma's and Aunts and people like that to make their favorite cookies to bring to help us out.

I have an aunt that would help but mom hates cooking/baking lol. I like the idea of the bag with a stamp. I will look into that :) Maybe some cartons of milk too.
