Out of Town Save the Dates?

I was just told to send out our save the dates now because most people will be traveling and staying in a hotel.  We are about 6 months out.  Is this true?  If so, does anyone know of a good place to get Save the Date Postcards and/or magnets for a good price?

I would definitely get those out asap. Vistaprint would be your best bet for price for both.

our wedding is in april 2010 and we sent our save the dates in may of this year.  a majority of our guests are in canada and maryland, however, so that made a big difference in when we sent them to allow ample time to fund their travels and whatnot.i would recommend getting them out now if you're going to at all.  it won't be much longer before you're sending invites, and you want there to be a distinction between both.vistaprint.com is a great website. they have a ton of coupons if you google as well. i was able to get business cards for our guests for a part of their favors for $12.00 for 250 ct. with a free shipping and an additional discounted price.

If you go through Vistaprint, sign up for their e-mail list (although don't use your usual e-mail address because they e-mail you constantly) and they will send you coupons to get basically everything on the site for free... you'll only have to pay shipping.
