Printing addresses on envelopes

Hi ladies! We are getting ready to send out STDs and I think that I want to print the addresses directly onto the envelopes.  My handwriting is horrible and while we will probably find a calligrapher for the invitations, I would like to save the money on this part.  Trouble is I'm not sure where to go to have this done.  I don't trust my own printer and I checked at Fedex Kinkos who doesn't do it.I know you can print on the clear labels but I would really prefer to just have it on the envelope if at all possible.  Any recommendations on printing places to check out?TIA!

I'll have to keep an eye on this for ideas.  I was thinking about the same thing this morning.  We are sending out our STD's this week and while FI and I don't have terrible handwriting, I would much rather just print it.  I was planning on doing it with our home printer though.

Check vista print, i think they might do it bc I was just looking at invites for my in laws anniversary party and pretty sure this was an option at the end. They have  a place you can upload your addresses. But not sure if they just do them w/o you ordering something from them or not.GL!Karen

for my std's, because they were informal, i just handwrote the addresses on them. i was just talking about this last night though because i want the invitations to have a little more formality for the weddingitself.have you checked with officemax or office depot? i'm not sure if they offer these services either.

My grandma prints right onto the envelopes. I can ask her how she sets her printer settings if you're interested in that (or if she'd be interested in doing it for you...?). Another options is here: http://pennedandpretty.blogspot.com/I stumbled onto this blog. I haven't read too much about it but thought it might at least be a jumping off point if you're interested in nice "printing". :-)

I printed directly onto my envelopes (I have a HP Photosmart C4680) and I thought it turned out wonderful - I have some pics in my bio if you wanted to look.  I was a little scared how my printer would do, but it did just fine - I would try one first if I was you just to be sure, your printer might surprise you!

I used labels on our STDs, but printed directly on the envelopes. It was tedious, (I did them one at a time) but they turned out great. It was fun to play around with fancy fonts. I did waste a lot more envelopes than I thought I would, for what it's worth. I actually ran out completely.

I would try Office Max/Depot. I know they will print invitations so I bet they'll do envelopes also. FWIW, I've printed lots of envelopes on my cheapie home printer and they've all turned out fine. You might try a few samples at home just to see before you spend the money somewhere else.
