My Wedding Idea..... Thoughts please;)

Hey,So I'm getting married in a courthouse in December to save money on insurance and taxes... long story... then doing a "Renewal of Vows" on a cruise ship to the Bahamas next September and considering it to be my actual wedding, we're taking 30 people total..... Anyway I'm doing a reception in October at home and was thinking about doing personalized beer/ice buckets as my centerpieces and having 4 casino (blackjack, roulette) tables at the party, and doing a "prom" type photo op set up where people could get their pictures taken at............. just trying to make it more interesting than the average reception........ i'm all about the PARTY :)my question is, do these things sound dumb? cheap? please be honest

If you're not going for the actual wedding reception feel - I think it's fine. I understand wanting to make it fun and different...it definitely sounds more like a party than a reception though.

We decided to get a photo booth and use them as our favors as well!

Sounds great! I'm actually getting married in January at the courthouse and having a symbolic ceremony  in Cancun later in the year.....A month or so after we return we will do a beach theme at home reception.
