VENDOR HELP: Catering Reviews-Action Stations

Hi, I have my heart set on having action stations for the reception food because it offers something unique and fun, it lends itself to many entree options for the guests, and I love all types of food (The Food MUST be amazing!!!) I've narrowed it down to these caterers who offer chef stations.  Has anyone used any of these caterers before, and if so how was your experience, was the food delicious?  And has anyone had action stations at their wedding or been to a wedding with them?  How was the experience i.e. was there enough food, was it slow getting the food to the guests, did the guests like the chef manned stations, would you recommend it?  Option of Caterers:1) Lon Lane's Inspired Occasions2) Deco Catering3) Brancato's Catering4) Affordable Catering5) Taste Catering and eventsAt this point price is not a factor, quality, taste, and service are the most important. Thanks for any feedback good, bad , or ugly it is greatly appreciated!

I have not used any of these caterers, but we did interview Affordable Catering. Their set up is amazing, but the food... um, average to poor, unfortunately. We were not impressed. We decided to go with Affordable Elegance... i don't know if they do action stations, but the food was incredible and they have been great to work with. You might check them out! HTH!

I've heard good things about Deco Catering.  They were our second choice, we ended up going with Delish! (they also offer action stations--have you inquired?).

Thanks ladies both your posts were very helpful, I hadn't heard of either of those vendors so I will definitely inquire and now I can cross Affordable Catering off my list! :-)

I am not using any of them, but there are reviews for some of them at www. kansas city bio .com. Also, some caterers may do action stations even if they don't advertise it on their website, because most are willing to work with you. So if you hear a lot of good reviews about a particular company, go ahead and check with them to see if they can fit your vision!

We interviewed with Affordable Catering (wasn't impressed, food was cool) and Brancato's (almost went with them, thought they were great).  We ended up with Hyvee.  I don't know anything about action stations though.

We're using Deco Catering, and they have really fun action stations with awesome presentation. One of the reasons we chose them is because creative stations are their specialty. My girlfriend used them last month.  Everything was great, and she said everytime she talks to a wedding guest they're still raving about the food.  I've heard Delish is good, but I wanted a company who would only take 1-2 weddings on my wedding day. If you're going for quality, taste, & service I'd avoid #3 & 4.
