Chapels/Churches--HELP!

This whole planning a wedding thing is much harder than I thought! I could really really use some suggestions on chapels and non-denom or community churches in the Lee's Summit/Blue Spring's (indep, raytown would be do-able also) area for our ceremony. Needs to accomodate 125+. My online seraches just keep taking me in circles and we are getting a little frustrated Please help! Would be much appreciated!

There is a beautiful non-denom. chapel at Powell Gardens, but they're inconsistent as to how many it can hold - says 100-120 guests. I have been to a wedding there and it was beautiful.

How about Unity Village?  They have some beautiful spaces there.  That and Powell Gardens are the only ones I can think of right now, but I'll keep thinking about it.

Also, if you're looking at Independence there's the Stone Church in downtown.  It's part of the Community of Christ, but I believe they'll let someone else officiate so you can have a non-denominational service (which is difficult to find).

if its non-denom is there a reason for having it in a church? If not you could do the ceremony at the same place as your reception and noone would have to drive in between the two. That's what we are doing!

I think Longview Mansion in Lee's Summit has a chapel.  Or it may just be a pretty room.  Worth looking into.

My home church, St. Paul UMC in Independence is nice, would easily accomodate 125 and is pretty inexpensive. They accept anyone and Patrick, the pastor, will customize your service however you like. It also has a center aisle if you are looking for that.
