Vendor Reviews!

Wow, it's been whirlwind the past three weeks and I can't believe we've already been married for a week and a half!  Everything was beautiful, if you want to see pics, you can friend me on FB there are tons!  Professional pics will be ready in about a week:)

Okay now for the reviews...

Hillcrest Country Club-  Lauren and Lindsey were exceptional! Lindsey is working with Lauren to take over while she is on maternity leave.  Lauren is very detail oriented, which was great because there were things I didn't think about.  Everyone complimented the venue and how beautiful the outdoor ceremony was.  Fortunately right as the ceremony was beginning there was a really nice breeze coming through, it was 93 that day!  The only complaint was that they had a regular salad on the buffet rather than the one we picked.  Overall, I would highly recommend them!

Terri Voyles Photography- She is so great to work with!  She is very relaxed and fun!  We've worked with her before and she knows my family pretty well, so I really don't have anything bad to say!  Can't wait for the pics to be ready!

DJ Jason at Debby Z-  Wow!  We had compliments all night about the dj.  He really kept the party going!  He made our entrance so much fun!  We came in to the Chicago Bulls entrance song, since DH is from Chicago, and he made the announcements with a booming voice and everything!  It was so much fun!  I would highly recommend him!!!

Village Gardens Flowers-  The flowers were absolutely gorgeous!  My mom still has one of the arrangements on their table at home, it's lasted that long!  My only complaint with them was that they didn't set up the hydrangeas in the centerpiece vases.  We picked them up the day before in order to keep them in water, and they were supposed to set them up at the country club Saturday, which they didn't do.  Fortunately, I have a friend who used to work in a floral shop and she was able to show Lauren and Lindsey what they were supposed to look like and those two set them up.  Crisis averted!

Sugar and Spice Cake-  The cake was delicious and looked just how I wanted it!  Only issue there was that the Bailey's Irish Cream filling went into the groom's cake instead of the wedding cake so a lot of people didn't get any.  But not the end of the world, my mom's cake was the complete wrong cake, so I wasn't too upset about it :)

Mia's Bridal- We purchased my dress as well as the bridesmaids dresses here, and they were great with everything.  I know there have been a lot of people who have struggled with them, but I never had any problems.

Men's Wearhouse- Ah, every wedding has to have a crisis right?  Well MW caused ours.  One hour before the wedding, my dad goes to get dressed(so late because I had forgotten my garter at the hotel and he kindly went back to get it).  My mom's phone rings and I answer it(first mistake) because she is in the bathroom, and we sound an awful lot alike on the phone.  The first words out of my dad's mouth are, "I don't have any pants."  I proceed to freak out, while she calls MW.  MW answers and she tells them what's happening, the guy responds...and I'm not exaggerating..."Well, I don't know what we're gonna do about that."  Thankfully my aunt lives near the MW and was able to pick them up, but it was just poor customer service all around.  We did get a refund, and the pants just in time thanks to my aunt.

A Girls Night Out Limo- F for Fail.  While DH and I were gathering our things, the driver of the Limo Bus we reserved for the wedding party began to load guests and take them back to the hotel.  Thus leaving us and the wedding party at the country club for 40 minutes after all the guest left while the other company came back to get us.  We used Carey Limo for the coach buses specifically for the guests transportation, and they were nice enough to come back and get us after being left. I would not recommend them at all, and will be calling them for a refund.  Unacceptable.  Carey Limo, I woud most definitely recommend them.

Alright, well that was a lot!  Sorry it's so long, if you have any other questions please PM me I would be glad to help!  Good luck to everyone with upcoming weddings!!!  And thanks to all the other knotties for their help too!
