We booked our rehearsal dinner venue and i'm so excited! I hadn't realized how much places charge for room rental, but paying $200 for a room before you even get any food seemed ridiculous to me!
We ended up booking Gates BBQ off of the Paseo. No room charge, just a promise to spend $250+ on food and 20% gratuity! The room is pretty with stained glass doors we can close. There is a liquor cart/cash bar right outside the door that people can get drinks at on their own if they feel like drinking, and people traveling into KC will get to have some of the famous KC BBQ everyone loves! There are even two flatscreen tvs in the room and they let you bring in cake if you want!
