No mine was pick out totally by FI!!  He did a great job if I mught say so!!  He took his kids with him when he went to get it though!!

My FI totally picked it out himself! He got a setting and picked out the diamonds. And he even did the same for the wedding band. I was really surprised, it is very beautiful!  I don't think I could have done better myself!!

FI and I went looking a few years ago and I narrowed showed him some options that I liked but in the end he picked out the e-ring and wedding band.  I love both and think he did a great job

Sorta...we were talking one day about some things and I asked him that if he wanted to surprise me with something but wasn't sure what to "pick" who he might ask.  He told me my sisters and a friend (who is my MOH).  I gave them some ideas and found out later he did end up asking my MOH what I might like.  Score!!

Fi and i talked abt what kind of ring i'd like, but it was a year or so before he proposed.

I told him the kind of ring I wanted, and he went out and got something completely different but I love it all the more because HE picked it.

Nope! The only comment I had made was one time mentioning that I liked the princess cut. I am so happy with what he picked out though and I love that it was a surprise!

We went and picked it out a few months before he proposed. I thought at first I'd want to be surprised but I'm glad we went!

I picked out the setting and the diamond with him, but he surprised me and got a slightly higher quality diamond.  I didn't know when he went to get the ring or when he was going to propose.

I made it easy for him because all I ever wanted was my great grandma's wedding ring... and that's what I got

I actually got two- the first one was one that he picked out. It was very tiny, but so special. This is the one that he actually proposed to me with. He knew that he wanted to pick something out with me, so this is why he did this little one to propose with.

I probably had that little one for close to a year, and then on my Birthday this year he took me to the jeweler and we picked one out together.

I will always keep the first one because it really is sooo special to me, but the one we picked out together matches my wedding band and will be the one I wear day to day.

I had mentioned in conversation that I liked a certain cut, and its really obvious from my other jewelry that I don't really wear yellow gold, so I don't think he had too hard of a time.  But he did go get the diamond and setting himself, I didn't when and wasn't involved in that part.  And he did a very god job!
