Hair and Makeup

I'm in the middle of planing my wedding and have hit a road block. I'm searching for hair and makeup people for myself and the bridal party but have no idea where to start! My regular stylist doesn't do weddings and all of her recommendations were too pricey. I'd like to keep hair under $50/person and makeup under $40/person. They also need to be able to travel - we'll be getting ready downtown at The President Hotel.

Any suggestions would be amazing!

You might be able to get hair under 50, but not much, $45 is usually the starting point at a decent salon, and for someone that travels it's probably more. And the most reasonable recommended make up artist I found was $45/person. Some give a discount if you have larger parties though. You may want to check out beauty schools or craigslist! People just starting out usually have lower costs, just make sure you do your homework! Weddingwire.com has a good list of vendors with reviews you can checkout as well.

I was thinking about going with my salon "A Shear Thing". I haven't booked them yet because I still wanted to look around. They have multiple options and an a-la-carte menu for individual services.
    Upstyle- $45 and up
    Makeup- $25 and up
    Mini facial -$25 and up
    breakfast/lunch is available for $10/pp

You have to ask about thier on-location pricing. It doesn't say it in their brochure

[QUOTE]I'm using Tricia Root for make-up. Make-up application is $45 and she will travel; there is only a travel fee if it's a long distance (like 30+ miles or something). I've already had my trial and I was quite pleased with it! http://triciaroot.sitesvp.com/services.html My hair stylist only does wedding parties for her regular clients.

I am using Tiffany Franklin. She will travel to you for a small fee. For bridesmaids hair and make up is $50 for hair and $50 for make up. Brides are $85 for make up same for hair.

    Here is her website.
