Florist Suggestions!

I have most of my vendors picked out, but I saved the florist for last as we are not planning on having too many flower arrangements, other than bouquets, boutennieres, etc.  But as I'm searching through florists websites, etc. I'm having a hard time getting a good vision of what they can do.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!!

Petals & Leaves in Powell seems good :) We just met with them last week and they do beautiful things. She gave great suggestions and showed us a lot of pictures of their work.

Flowers on Springtree Lane.  They are awesome and very reasonable!

I am a more hands-on bride with lots of DIY projects, and I just met with The Flowerman and Melissa really helped me work through my ideas and develop them into something lovely!  Plus it's pretty cheap because you put it all together yourself (if you'd like).

I am having Eva at Ecoflora do the flowers for my 10/12/12 wedding, and she has been awesome. Has porvided pics and sketches of what her game plan is, as well as staying within our budget. (and ours is teeny-tiny!) Plus her stuff is organic/sustainabled/recycled/repurposed wherever possible, and goes hand in hand with my own ethics and preferences. :)

I went with Kelly Karsten.  She ended up beating the price I got from Flowerman and I ended up with even more.  The flowers were georgous.

We're using Posy Flowers. Amy, the owner is so incredibly talented and creative. She was the only florist I met with who listened to what I was saying specifically related to my own personal style and what I saw for the wedding. She made the perfect suggestions based on every word I said. I really appreciated that and know it will be more than pay off on my wedding day in October. It's going to be beautiful! I'm really relieved we went with her! :) PM if you want details!

I've heard great things about both Flowers on Springtree Lane and Flowers on Orchard Lane -- both were unfortunately booked for my wedding.  I looked at a TON of florists: Petals and Leaves, The Flowerman, The Daisy Basket, Floral Design Studio, and All in Bloom.

I ended up putting together a sheet of pics on my own for them to quote me on b/c I got such a variation of initial quotes -- some of them with flower names I hadn't heard of and no pics.  That leveled the playing field a bit.  The Daisy Basket was really pricey, and The Flowerman didn't have enough of a DIY price difference to justify doing my own, which left P&L, FDS, and AIB.

I ended up going with AIB on the recommendation of another friend who was also planning on using them, and I could not be happier that I did.  Steff was AMAZING to work with.  They do a lot of corporate work, which is where they make their money, so they are totally willing to work with any budget.  I made some of my own centerpieces to save money and Steff even gave me suggestions on how to make them!  We received so many compliments on them the day of from family and friends too -- they were coming around checking everyone's flowers to see if they needed spritzed so that they wouldn't droop, etc., and were SO nice.  Feel free to PM me with any questions!  :)

Gotta say the florists was hte WORST for me.

I have heard great things about Flowers on Springtree lane but I had a very bad experience with them.

Also went to the flowerman... but again the DIY  price was not enough of a difference to justify doing it myself.

I also looked at Mimosa who never even showed up for my appointment.

Ultimately we went wtih Petals and Leaves and I LOVE Dee She's great!
