    Oh how sweet!!! Thank you!!!

    1. Your name & FI's name: Jenni & Spencer
    2. Ages (met/married):
We met when we were about 13 and 14 years old. Our sisters were best friends and would pester us that we should date one another... but with all young kids we would get embarressed and tell them to shut-up. We connected again my senior year of college and will be getting married 4 years later at the age of 26 and 27!
    3. Do you like FI's last name? Are you "taking" it? I love his last name! My last name is Brown...WAY too common..sooo i'm excited to not have to give 3 forms of i.d. and a blood sample just to get my drivers license renewed haha (exagerating...but not by much!)
    4. Where were you born (city/state)? Independence, Missouri
    5. Where do you live currently? (city and/or state)? Kansas City, Missouri AKA: Waldo, Mo
    6. Where did you go to college? I went to UCM in Warrensburg, and am now at KU pursuing my masters in Marketing Communications.
    7. Do you root for any college/professional teams? No, we aren't really into sports...although I suppose if I had to choose i'd go with the KU Jayhawks!
    8. What was your major?  Photography and Graphic Design
    9. What is your current job?   At the moment I am doing freelance photography and graphic design on the side while i'm in school. He works for T-Mobile.
    10. What is your dream job?  I would love to be a wedding planner, or own a small graphic design business where I make wedding invitations and stationary!
    11. How did you and your fiance meet?  We met in Jr. High through our sisters. Our first date 4 years ago was at TGIFridays

    12. When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? On Christmas Morning 2009, at about 6:30 we went into the living room for presents! Spencer told me he had a gift for our puppies. He pulled a box out from under the tree, unwrapped it and pulled out new collars and tags!!! He put them on and then as I was petting the girls and telling them how pretty they were he told me to read the new tags they had on... I looked down at the little bone shaped ID that Betty was wearing and the words "Ring Bearer" were engraved! I scrambled over to Mia's and read "Flower Girl" and flipped it the other side where "Jennifer & Spencer Schaub" was engraved!! I then turned around to Spencer who had taken a small box out of its hiding place on the bookcase. Wrapped perfectly I opened the box (after a little bit of struggling and frustration...haha. dang thing was stuck together!) and out fell a little white jewelry box. I opened it up and inside it was the most beautiful ring I have ever seen in my life!
    13. When is the Wedding Day? Is there a special reason for this date? We are getting married on Oct. 23, 2010. We both just have always loved the idea of an October wedding, and this date was available at our venue!

    14. Where is the ceremony and reception? Berg Event Space in downtown KC!

    15. What are your wedding colors? We are going with a purple-pink merlot color as our main color, black as our accent and champagne as the background. Our flowers are all going to be in jewel tones of oranges, yellow, purples and pinks!

    16. Where are you honeymooning? We are honeymooning for 8 days/7 nights at the Excellence Resort in Riviera Maya Mexico!!!
    17. Favorite wedding vendor so far? Our photographer Morgan Miller of Cornerstone Photography is AMAZING....Our reverand is also awesome (she specializes in non-denom) and our caterer Wanda (who isn't charging us for kids!) and our DJ who is an all-around awesome guy....geez....really I love them all!!! PM me if you want contacts for anyone! THey are all phenomenal!!! (and affordable!)
    18. Biggest wedding splurge? Our venue by far. My mom kept telling me to lower my standards and find a hall in Blue Springs...but we live in the city, and we wanted to marry in the city!
    19. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? hmmmm I honestly can't think of a thing!
    20. Is there another knottie's wedding you'd like to attend?  Everyone's wedding I think is going to be beautiful, and I can't wait to see photos!!!
    21. Favorite book?  Eat. Pray. Love. I read it recently and it changed my life. Also Water for Elephants and of course, Harry Potter!
    22. Favorite movie?  hmm there are 3. Ever After, The Holiday and P.S. I love you. Any one of them make me feel relaxed and at home and I love to just drink them in!
    23. Favorite tv show?  How do I choose? I love Project Runway, Top Chef, Fringe, Brothers & Sisters, House, and Grays Anatomy!

    24. Favorite wedding dress designer? If you had asked me this question a few months ago I would have had no idea...but I am definitly a Maggie Bride now!!! Maggie Sottero Carrie is my gown!!!
    25. Any advice you can give?   The only thing I can think is to just enjoy yourself. Love the planning, and try to make your decisions based on what you want your wedding to be about, and not just nickel and dime everything. Our wedding represents our life in the city, great music, great food, fantastic friends and its decorated in our style. Don't be afraid to bring in non-traditional items that can make a big hit (we're using old vintage brooches to make a huge statement) and don't be afraid to take out the "traditions" you don't really care about. So many weddings I go to you spend so much time going through the formalities that by the time it's all done everyone leaves... if you don't want a bridal party dance, don't do it...your wedding party will be dancing all night long anyways!

    26. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? No. I am so happy with how everything is shaping up. I just love it! For so long it was hard for me to picture everything together because we were trying to combine so many things we love...but now the image is perfect in my mind and I can't wait to see it all. If you had to pick a theme for our wedding it would be "us". Every detail is about the two of us. :) Although, I do hope I can find a good price on a limo so we can all travel together for photos!
    27. Share something about yourself!!  I am a blogger! I love blogging and have a blog devoted to my life, and recently my wedding called She's Getting Married. Feel free to check it out! There will be details about our wedding, things that just interest me and LOTS about my puppies!!!

    Thanks for listening ladies!!!!!

Hooray for the Berg! I'm getting married there 6.17.11 -- we looked at over 30 venues and I had to fight my mom on using a community hall too!

And, like whitneykaye, I creeped on your blog -- congrats on your weight loss! Great motivation for other brides and women out there! Thanks!

Definitely congrats on the progress you've made.  It's good to hear people say they're happy with their bodies, even if they're still a work in progress (whose isn't, really?)

Also, I like your shoes!  I'd wear them in a heartbeat!

aww you girls are sweet!!! I need to keep moving. Now that ive started losing steadily i'd like to drop about 15 lbs more before the wedding, which i dont think should be too hard now that ive worked up my metabolism and have a lot of muscle working away at burning the goo!

I love your colors! One thing I've worked hard on is incorparting "us" even though I'm more of a traditional person so I can't wait to see how you did it and made it all so unique!

Thanks ladies! And yes...trust me, you are not along when it comes to fighting with mom. I've been a pretty laid back bride, and my bridesmaids ensure me i'm far from becoming a bridezilla....but my mom is quick to tell me im being a diva and need to "lower my standards" I figure if im paying the difference what does it matter what we choose to do? haha crazy moms :)
