Hy-vee Flowers

Anyone used or seen Hy-vee wedding flowers? I've heard rave reviews about the food and cakes from them, but we were looking at them for flowers and wanted to make sure they did a good job.  Thanks!!

I talked to the girls in our floral shop about my wedding flowers. I thought it would be so much fun planning it with some of my favorite girls from work... luckily they were straight-forward, open, upfront and honest with me. With 15 tables, cake table, 8 BM bouquets, 7 bouts, 3 moms, 1 g'ma, 1 g'pa, 1 dad, my bouquet and FI bout they figured over $2,000. If I wanted tall vases, they'd be overpriced or i'd have to provide my own. I took the same figure to my venue's florist (minus five tables + chair covers and linens) and he quoted me $1400........... Russ with Changing Seasons is who I ended up going with. The girls from work wished me luck and said it was a smart pick... HTH

I am using Hyvee and have had nothing but a great experience this far. I have heard it depends on the Hyvee you use. I am using the one in Mission Kansas and everyone in the floral department has been fantastic. I looked at several different florists and Hyvee was by far the cheapest and the best to work with. I would definitely consider at least going in and talking with them!! Good luck!

I don't know what part of the city you are getting married, but I am also using Hyvee for our flowers.  We went to Loretta at Gladstone Hyvee.  She has been a florist for about 20 years and she was fantastic to work with!  I gave her our budget and told her that we wanted to stay within that as much as possible.  She gave my mom and I several options in order to stay within that budget.  If you are on facebook, you can look at the Gladstone Hyvee page and see some samples of her work.  We are having 9 centerpieces, 3 bm bouquet, bridal bouquet, 9 bouts, 7 corsages, flower petals for flower girl and misc decorating for under $700 (we are supplying vases, so we didn't have to worry about that additional cost).  Hope this helps you!!!!!

My sister got married earlier this year and they used Hy-Vee for her wedding flowers and said it was a great experience.  They used a Hy-Vee in OP, KS (I believe on 95th street).  The bouquet's were beautiful and they did a great job of helping cut costs by offering up suggestions for alternative flowers if the ones she liked were out of season.  I plan on using them for my wedding!  Hopefully you have a great experience with them!
