Ceremony Music

Sarabeth's post about reception music reminded me that I'm supposed to be picking my ceremony music. Has anyone else done that yet? Or does anyone have suggestions for prelude, postlude, and recessional songs? These little details that keep popping up are really starting to wear me out...but one quick note of happiness- invitations went out this week and so far everyone has loved them as much as I do!

These are songs I got out of a wedding book - all classics, I think:
    Trumpet Voluntary by Purcell
    The Bridal Chorus by Wagner
    Wedding March by Mendelssohn
Postlude in G Major by Handel
Canon in D Major by Pachelbel
Adagio in A Minor by Bach

I will definately have Canon in D played...love that song. I'm not sure about the others, I guess I just don't really care that much about the ceremony music as we're having a short, outdoor one. Hope these help!

Are you playing your own music or do you have a muscian?  Either way if you go to the websites of wedding muscians that have samples of ceremony music that may help you pick some out.  I am trying to be non-traditional by choosing some songs not typically played during ceremonies, so I'm not sure mine would help you!

triofontana.com  and serenadekc.com both have samples you can hear on their sites.
