Jen72682--Premier Midwest

I did not mind Taylor, I had met him at a bridal fair before, and he was a nice guy.  I would not have had a problem if someone would have told me that they were sending someone else.  I am a really easy going person and it would have been completely fine.  The problem was, that I had given all the details to Danny a few days prior to my wedding.  I had filled out the reception planner online and then talked to Danny about everyone's names for announcing our entrance.

When we got to the reception, my mom had to come out and get all of the information from me.  She said the DJ did not have any of the information.  So my mom had to get all of the info and give to the DJ.  It was not a major deal, but she was very annoyed about it and I was a little too since I had already given them all the information.  When we got there they were playing something that sounded like elevator music.  It was a snooze fest.  I asked some of my guests if they had been playing that the whole time before we got there and they said yes, and that it was not good.  I asked Taylor to change it, and he did, but the best man and one of the groomsmen had to ask him to change it again because he went back to the really boring stuff.

He did have all the music right for all of our special dances.  We were supposed to do a dollar dance (which I hate, but my DH has always wanted to do one), but we did not get to.  My DH and I were  there with our best man and maid of honor and it was announced to start, but the music was not right.  Normally it is slower so that you can dance with your guests.  The music was fast paced, and nobody heard the announcement to start the dance.  I've had a ton of our guests ask why we didn't do the honeymoon dance.  I tell them that we tried to but that nobody came.  Every single person has said that they did not hear it.  My DH was really disappointed about this.  It was not about the $$ that we would have gotten for the dance, but that we would have gotten time to dance and talk with guests that we did not get a chance to dance with.  Even our parents did not ever hear the announcement of the dance, and asked us at the end of the night why we never did it.

Things got better later in the evening and he did get the guests involved with group dances, but there are just some things that annoy me about it.  I had two friends there that are getting married next year, and both were planning to use them.  I never told either of them what had happened, or that I was a little disappointed.  I did ask them what they thought, and they both said that they were really impressed at the bridal fairs, but that they were not very impressed the night of my wedding.

I feel bad for Danny and his mother and hope that she is doing ok.  Maybe they just had an off night because of all the family issues going on.  Hopefully she is doing better.   They were all really easy to work with before my wedding and were always fast in getting back to my emails, except for the week before my wedding.  I'm assuming now that is because of their family issues.

I'm sure everything will be fine for you...good luck!

Thank you so much for letting me know! I greatly appreciate the feedback and I'm sorry things didn't work out great for your wedding. Even though, it was a family emergency, I'm sure it was very disappointing and frusterating for your wedding day. Thank you again!!

We used Premier and had Lindsey. We had a great experience. Everyone thought our DJ was the reception location's manager. She was definitely the host of the evening, even bringing the wedding party drinks while waiting for our entrance. She even got on the dance floor to show some line dance moves. We loved her and thought she did a terrific job.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. There should be hope for your friends though.
