Vendor Reviews

I was recently married *7-17-10* in a small town in Kansas, and we utilized a few vendors from Kansas City and wanted to share my experiences!

Photographer:
Lacey Crough Photography, Liberty, MO.  Lacey was amazing, I can't say this enough!  She is new to the business so has great rates, but takes pictures like a pro!  Not only was she professional, organized and breeze to work with, she is kind and hilarious as well!  For a very competitive rate we had her for both the Rehearsal Dinner Friday night and all day on Saturday, 1-10 pm!  We also were given all of the rights to the pictures- which saves us even more money.  I can't recommend her enough!

DJ:
Didn't go so well.  We hired Dan Nied, working with Reddell Productions out of Kansas City and Lawrence.  At first we were thrilled that we had secured a DJ at a good rate who was willing to drive the 3 hours to our wedding location, however there were MANY mistakes.  Among them, due to equipment malfunctions our DJ was unable to play music for more than the first our of or reception dinner, he played only two songs of the 30 on the dinner/dancing playlist we had requested, very poor sound quality, very unprofessional, unprepared (he had to use my husbands iPod and my sister's computer to play some of his songs!), repeated "Ice Ice Baby" three times (it shouldn't have been played once!), and I could go on and on.  In summary, neither Dan or Reddell Productions would admit do a poor performance and we ended up paying for a DJ to do an awful job.  Ladies- DO YOU RESEARCH!  Demand to meet with your DJ in advance and be sure he knows exactly what you expect from him.  Ask for references and if I could do it over again, I would pay twice what we paid for if it meant a good DJ experience!  I hope this helps you girls- I just don't want others to have to experience the poor quality and bad situation that my husband and I did!

Happy Wedding!
