Overland Park Convention Center / Holiday Inn Overland Park West?

I think we are leaning towards the Overland Park, KS area for our daughter's reception in June of 2012.  Has anyone had any experience with either the Overland Park Convention Center and/or the Holiday Inn Overland Park West?

Would also be interested in hearing of other Overland Park venues.  We will be doing a luncheon reception for around 200 guests.  Thanks !!!

    I am not familiar with those two locations for weddings but I have been to a reception at the Ritz Charles.  It's essentially a nice banquet-type building with easy parking, great ballrooms, etc.  I remember the food and space being quite lovely!  I'm certain it would fit 200 guests.

    If you want to stay with a hotel, I've also been to the Marriott near 435 & Metcalf for receptions/company parties.  They did some remodeling 2-3 years ago so it may be nice to check it out now.

    I recently went to a reception at the Holiday Inn at 87th & 35.  They had great service and the food was good as well.  My friend who got married said she was very pleased.  The ballroom was on the top floor which was kind of cool.
