Picture Locations?!?!

Hello! So I booked my engagement photos but now I need to pick a location to have them done.  They will take place in mid-october and I want to do them outside.  Any suggestions?

Depends -- do you want fall-themed, garden, landscape type photos or urban city shots?

Just a couple general ideas - Unity Village, Crossroads District, a park that you like, Plaza, etc.

Loose Park is beautiful in the fall.  Definitely think about that.

FWIW, I took mine at the Nichols Fountain by the plaza and next to Brush creek on the plaza.

I did mine in Kaufman Gardens they have a lot of really neat columns and different walls.

We did our engagement photos in the Crossroads district, and our wedding photos in the Westbottoms.  But we wanted urban-style pictures.  Probably not the best location if you want autumn leaves and such.

In parkville missouri there are some good spots.  Park university is really really pretty, and oldie looking.  There is also english landing park right across the street with the river there as a background too!

We did ours down by the Crossroads and it was really fun. Lots of different, unique looking spaces you could get into.

We also went to the Nelson Atkin's sculpture garden, but if you go there you have to go sign in. It's not a big deal but just remember to do that or they will call you out on the speakers and it's creepy, lol

Loose park is beautiful if you want to take your photos in a nature setting. Crossroads is really neat for an urban look. We're doing a travel theme so we did ours at the Aviation Museum downtown.

On the other side of town, Shawnee Mission Park is beautiful..I'm sure we'll go there at least for a few shots!

English Landing in Parkville has a gazebo, bridge, pennisula looking thing and lots of great trees by the MO river.  And there are gorgeous places around it too.
The fountain on North Oak, by I-29 is a gorgeous place for pics, but currently they have the water turned off.
There is a really pretty park by the Argosy Casino with MO river running along it.
The top of the parking garage of North Kansas CIty Hospital has downtown's skyline for a back drop.
    Downtown Liberty is pretty too.

If you are looking for something outside, the Overland Park Arboretum is gorgeous.  There's a nice variety of spots there- water, bridges, flowers, trees, etc.
