Registry...

Have you guys registered yet? Where are you registered or will be registering? How was the experience?

FI and I are going this weekend! I am a little excited! I made a list of things we need, I'm afraid if I didn't I would get the little gun and start getting a bunch of things I don't need! haha

We are registered at Macys and Bed Bath and Beyond.  We also have the registry360 thing so we can add things from random sites on the internet.

We registered for you pretty normal stuff.  Bedding, kitchen appliances, etc.  However, we have just registered via the internet.  In December we are going to go to Macys and BBB to actually see what bedding and towels we want based on feel.  As for the kitchen stuff-I knew what I wanted so I just did it on the net.

A list is a great idea.  That way you make sure to register for everything you want!

Registering was SO MUCH FUN!  I could not wait for that day!  We're registered at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond.  I suggest scanning anything and everything you think you MIGHT someday need!  We scanned so much "fun stuff" (punch bowl for example) that we're rarely use, but why not?!  Now is the one time you can ask for whatever you want, expensive or not!

And put a lot on there.  Nothing is more frustrating than going to get a gift for a couple and only finding 20 things on there...  People love options!

We registered at BB&B and Amazon.com. Originally we registered at Macys and JCPenney.

Macy's was the first place we went and I got so frustrated and upset that I started crying in the store; it was really ridiculously embarressing. Basically I felt like they were pushing stuff on us, and I didn't like ANYTHING they had in the store. Plus BB&B has a lot of the same stuff for less. So we ended up deleting that registry entirely.

JCPenney we tried next, and we picked out some stuff in the store and a lot of the rest online. Much better, more relaxed experience.

Then we went to BB&B to replace the Macy's registry. We LOVED shopping there, and I definitely went overboard. FI doesn't know it, but I went back later by myself and swiped more stuff. Shhh... lol

Then we discovered Amazon.com has a registry where you can add stuff from any website. We decided to delete our JCPenney registry, move some stuff that we picked out to the Amazon.com registry, and then went to town adding some video games and a camera. :D

So... now our "big" registry is BB&B and we have all the "necessities" like linens and dishes. We tried to keep it to stuff we really wanted because there are a lot of things we can buy ourselves, like glassware and pot holders. Then Amazon.com has a lot of "fun" stuff, like Super Mario Galaxy 2, Catchphrase, and an extra Wii-mote.

We registered at Crate and Barrel, BBB and Target. All of them gave us lists except Target so that helps out a lot.

I've had the most problems with Crate and Barrel with discontinued items but everywhere else has been fine.

We registered at BBB and at Target.  It wasn't quite as fun as I had thought it would be but it was still okay.

We registered at BBB and Crate and Barrel. C&B had all of the fun colors and furniture that we absolutely love. Plus, we can add to stuff to the registry after the wedding and then buy it ourselves with the "didn't get it" discount. We're doing that with our furniture so we can get the exact size and patterns we wanted. Honestly though, registering wasn't as much fun as I thought it'd be. My FI wanted equal say and that was frustrating because I had to defend some of my choices sometimes. I also got really defeated feeling after spending HOURS in store and not liking any of the bed linens, dinner plates, etc. Just plan on making multiple trips and be patient!

We registered at Crate & Barrel, Macy's, and Kohl's.  C&B and Macy's were great, Kohl's was okay.  C&B was definitely the most fun!

we did BBB and Macy's.  Macy's was my favorite. They have registering events called sip and scan where u drink while you register.  I didn't do one but i heard good things abt them.

We registered at BBB and Target.  We started a Macy's registry but we ended up getting rid of it because it was mainly the same stuff as BBB put more expensive.  I had fun but it did ware me out.  We ended up doing lots of the adding online and I like that I can continue to edit the lists online so I see things we don't have but want I just add them :)
