Advice for starting the wedding dress search

Do any of you ladies have advice for me, as i begin my search for my wedding dress? I've looked some online and in magazines, but I'm not sure yet what kind of style i'd like, or really much of anything (besides it being white! lol), so any advice would be helpful!

go out there and try some one.  You can see what looks best on you.  The dress always look way different on then in the magazines.  There was one i thought i loved, and when i tried it on i hated it.

Keep an open mind.... Just because it looks awesome in a magazine, doesn't mean it will look fabulous on you... or at least it didn't on me!! Your sales person should be able to help find dresses that look good or flatter your body type!

Definitely keep an open mind and try on a few styles.  Then you can narrow down your search and go from there.  Also, don't try on any dresses you can't afford.  My best friend did that and felt heartbroken that she couldn't get her dream dress- she didn't  think anything else compared after that one.

And once you find your dress, quit looking!  Don't spend time second guessing yourself if you have a dress that makes you happy and makes you feel good.

    Have fun!

Maybe think about the things you know for sure you DONT want.  Like maybe you know you dont want sleeves, or you dont want a ball gown...sometimes knocking out what you dont want makes it easier to find what you do want!
