Oh yey! I just got back into town today, so I'll fill this out right after lunch.

2. Ages (met/married):20 (me) & 19 (him) when we met, will be 25 & 24 on our wedding day

3. Do you like FI's last name? Are you "taking" it? I LOVE it! My last name is so plain, so it will be nice to finally "stand out"

4. Where were you born (city/state)? Maine

5. Where do you live currently? (city and/or state)? Overland Park, KS

6. Where did you go to college? University of Central Florida, but now at JCCC

7. Do you root for any college/professional teams? Not a big sports fan, but David loves the Tampa Bay Lightning (hockey) so I guess they are "my" team by default

8. What was your major? Hospitality Mgmt at UCF, and now Accounting at JCCC

9. What is your current job? Receptionist

10. What is your dream job? Not sure yet... I'm just going with the flow.

11. How did you and your fiance meet? On LJ. There was a community for UCF that we met through.

12. When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? Dec 27, 2008. I had been living in New Orleans and he had just moved up to be with me that day. We had a gift exchange for Christmas and he gave me my ring! He didn't get down on one knee or anything, or even ask me. I still tease him about that... ;P

13. When is the Wedding Day? Is there a special reason for this date? 10-10-10. I wanted the fall, and a Sunday wedding (to keep costs down). I was looking for a Sunday with a Monday holiday and came upon Columbus Day weekend. I was REALLY sad when I realized it was 10-10-10 because I figured that would be a busy day, and we weren't quite ready to start planning. But it won us over and we got to work right away. Had most of the vendors booked a year out, and so far so good!

14. Where is the ceremony and reception? Club 1000 in KCMO

15. What are your wedding colors? Navy, purple and gold

16. Where are you honeymooning? Hermann, MO for Oktoberfest. We are planning on taking a bigger trip on our one year anniversary. Money is too tight for more than weekend right now.

17. Favorite wedding vendor so far? That's a hard one! I love them all, pretty much! I got the chance to work with my hair/makeup artist, CaraSue Hall, for some B-pics and she is AMAZING and so sweet! Our bakery, Dragonfly, had some amazing cakes and seriously cool ideas. And our photographer, Tiffany Phipps from Dolce Bella Photography, is such a sweet heart; we had the most awesome time for our engagement pics and I can't wait to see what she's got in store for the big day!

18. Biggest wedding splurge? The venue. We could have shopped around way more and gotten a better deal, but I fell in love!

19. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? A sit down dinner. We're doing a buffett with some action stations, and I'm totally happy with it, but I just wish we had the extra money for the sit down.

20. Is there another knottie's wedding you'd like to attend? I think there are a lot of people on here who are going to have AMAZING weddings.

21. Favorite book? the Harry Potter series

22. Favorite movie? "Monsters Inc" or "A League of Their Own"... I could watch either over and over again!

23. Favorite tv show? Glee, House, and Gossip Girl. I am so PO'd that my DVR is so unreliable, because it didn't record the last GG OR House while I was out of town. >:<

24. Favorite wedding dress designer? Enzoani! My dream dress was Bueno Aires by Enzoani. But I still love mine!!

25. Any advice you can give? Remember to stay true to yourself and your fiance's collective vision. Don't let people talk you into things you don't want. BUT also be aware of your guests - do everything you can to make them comfortable and happy.

26. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? Nope! So far I love it! Well... maybe if I could have hired a professional decor person, but oh well...

27. Share something about yourself!! I love to travel. I've lived in Maine, Florida, London, New Orleans and now Kansas. London is by far my favorite city in the world... just wish it wasn't so expensive!!

I love Glee too!!!!  I can't wait to see pictures from your wedding, your colors are so unique.  I've never seen navy, purple, and gold together!

I'm pretty excited! I've seen navy and gold and purple and gold, but not together. So far it's turning out nicely. :)

I'm excited to hear and see more about your photographer, we have her on our list to contact once we have the venue set in stone which will be done on June 1(they only book one year in advance).

She is so wonderful! Like I said, we've only done epics with her, but she was very, very nice, professional, and fun. She made us feel very comfortable during it, and FI is normally very camera shy. You can look on my bio for some of the pics.

Plus, she's newer to the scene so she is very budget friendly.

We almost did club 1000- I know what you mean about falling in love.  It's beautiful there!  We ended up going closer to our neck of the woods, but good choice!

And those colors sound really pretty!  Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together!
